| ??? I missed the show today, and a couple last week, what the fuck is going on with these 1%'s in the Avatars? |

| the other day Bubba was on the chip about something and saying he was gonna get heat with SFN, and in an attempt to calm him down, Brent stated that SFN only accounts for 1% of the listening audience. we are one percenters..... :D |

| someone mentioned it on the weekend, so Zeke came up with a couple 1% av's, and the "plan" was to roll 'em out on tuesday's show so Mutt wouldn't get heat from Bubba. but during the SOTB someone mentioned the 1% deal and it was on like donkey kong |

I think what Brent was getting at is SFN in total is 1% of the available listening audience, you can't gear your show towards making 1% of the people happy.
Break that down further and not all of SFN hangs in the BTLS Section so it's even less, Worst of all some people on SFN, don't subscribe.
How can you go to a forum and post if you don't subscribe and listen to the show?
Making certain people even more disturbed this 1% has 5000 different opinions on the show and what is good and what isn't.
SFN nice place to gauge an opinion, try and build a show around it or appease them, bound to drive anyone mad!
Bubba had a radio show before SFN, he will have one whether SFN likes him or not.

with all due respect, one of the revolutionary effects of Sirius radio (combined with howard's ideas) is that we are able to have a much more powerful and effective audience participation than ever before on radio.
It may seem that SFN represents "1%", but it's the percentage of fans that are the most involved, the most vocal and the most Interested. We are willing to put ourselves OUT there. We are willing to share opinions. Or even HAVE opinions.
Why should we be treated like second class listeners?

My point is this... 1% of motivated people can make a ridiculously huge difference... especially when the other 99% are to fucking lazy to do anything for themselves and have grown accustomed to this culture of gimmie... |
