| that song is so appropriate considering the fact that I usually turn the radio down although I never stop recording my shows I cannot stand listening to the same old stuff every time he comes in. Although I love listening to Bubba reading e-mail and his comments Dr. Mark I'm sure is a good guy but in my opinion the show is much better without him and I don't mean that in a bad way it's just not my cup of tea |

That was a good bit, very clever and well done. I don't throw around compliments unless they are deserved.
Just wondering, as I've had some ideas for songs in the past. Do you get the theme first, then work on ideas, and then find a song that will work, or do you find a song and then build the lyrics with an idea?
Hope they like it. Will be interesting to see what kind of criticizm Manson has for it. I think even if you had the best bit ever made, Manson would play the role, partial work style, which is I get laughs over.
If there is a question about a double barrelled penis and getting a P.A. peircing asked tommorrow, it is my question. |

Thanks man I fully appreciate it. When I hear a situation, all the lyrics come to my quickly with a song melody in mind. I write them down & then fine tune them at a later date. Once I sit down in the studio I don't stop until the song is done.
Like this song I sat down with the rough lyrics last night at 7:30 pm, rewrote the words, recorded the music & vocals & finished mixing at about 3am.
As for Manson, I met him in Tampa, we even raced go-karts, he's cool as hell. We didn't talk much, but I don't think he would really have any heat w/ me, I do this just to contribute to the show, it's a hobby. |

But it has to fit an actual song, the song you parody. Does a song come to mind before you write the lyrics, or do you have to fit the lyrics to a song that seems to fit.

I've always been amazed by Manson's ability to have a bit about something, ready and polished for the next day. He's had some really good ones done by the next show, I always wonder how long it takes him to get the plan, then to find the music, record the singing, and mix it.
He seems to be a bit of a perfectionist and has mentioned how many takes some things require to get the finished product. Time must fly by when doing those, but with his kids and his yard, and other farm chores - I bet he has a lot of really late nights.

I bet he would tell you that you are very talented. I think he plays on the "tell the guy who is trying to get my job that he is not as good as me" theme work, mostly for the quality of the show. It is always funny, but many times he does still acknowledge the talent along the way in some little way. If he doesn't, Ned usually does :)
To his credit, you are able to put a lot more time into the thought, wait for good ideas to hit you, and have time for production - where as he is getting paid to submit a certain amount of bits, not all of which he is able to get credit for. Not taking anything away from your work - but imagine being in his shoes and being expected to produce a lot of really good bits. There is no time for writers block - which everyone is sure to get some time.
Can't wait to hear them play it on the show, I really enjoy being able to listen to it before hand. |

Well thanks man again! But I work a 9-5 job in LA w/ 3hr commute (there & back), that's why I haven't released a tune in so long, so my production time is way limited.
One thing I do pride me-self on is turn around, back in May, there would be a subject & I'd have a song ready for bubba the next day....but that's before I got this 9-5er :(
Right now I'm working on a song about Chip, Balloon Knot is helping me with this one, as I don't know that much about Chip.It's nearly done but I wont be able to record it until this weekend. If I didn't have the 9-5er, it would be ready for Fridays show.
I've been listening to Manson's parodies for 10 years, before I ever wrote a comedy song. He's the man & I know that. I consider it an honor just to have any of my work used on his show. |

Jaeger, I'm not trying to start anything. I was giving an honest opinion. I've said much worse things about some of the bits the guys play on the air. I didn't realize that I had to bow down and brown nose for everything. I thought I could give an opinion, and not catch heat on the deal. Am I wrong? Honestly; OK so I read the Lyrics first and thought OK Hand I am gonna take a shit on the song. I like Dr. Mark the segments get old, but hey the guy is doing good work.
So I read others post's, gave the song a shot, and I must say.....
Hand Awesome song quality this is such professional work I am very impressed.
Oh and the song, can't wait to hear it again on the air.
