| Giuliani makes his move for the White House. He filed papers with establishing a exploratory committee to see how much money he can raise for his campaign. He'll make an excellent President. I only wish he'd be pro-life and anti-homosexual. Nevertheless, he's gonna be our next President! |

| FatesWebb |
| yep, he is a 9/11 profiteer, and knew about the collapse of the wtc towers before even the firefighters. and he banned cameras at the wtc as well. sounds like a solid choice, if you want 8 more years of hell. |

| He will win if he runs, and although I will have the satisfaction that it will smash the disillusion that he is a great leader, I will be very horrified that he is a VERY VERY dangerous person. He is in the inner circles, he knows what happened on THAT day, and he will never talk. |

OK so on abc video rudy ADMITS that he got the warning to leave the building over 8 hours before it collapsed, but why were the firefighters not given the same warnings? and why should he now after the fact go around on some sorta propaganda world tour profiting off of it? and also why should he have banned cameras and such from the crime scene?
Are you sure he isnt part of the problem posing as part of the solution?

| You people seem to forget how Rudy cleaned up NYC. NYC was a trash heap when he took over for fuck head Dinkins. Oooh, just because Giuliani ordered all the strip joints and porno shops closed so that families can walk around the streets of NYC without having the pervs creep them, boo-hoo, you're just so mad at him. |

Commercial districts whose main economy is the theater, which attracts scores of families. Or maybe you'd rather have porno shops serve as the main economy for NYC and fuck the tourist trade? |

That's typical. You take one statement made, and spin it into something else. I don't think there is anyone that would say that children should have to view pornography while walking down the street... on the other hand, there is no need to pass sweeping legislation getting rid of those businesses.
Restrictions on types and locations of advertisement could easily solve any problem. A little discreteness goes a long way. |

A little discreteness goes a long way. | Okay, maybe I skewed the argument in the attempts to make a point, which is that MOST of all the porno shops along 42nd Street had graphic posters and the most seedy element all over them. How can you expect to take your family out to a show and have to navigate around these creeps? Giuliani had to enforce stringent laws against them in order to curb the negative element. In so doing he turned the economy in NYC around. |

| Don't get me wrong, I love porno, but we're talking about a segment of the industry that was operating without restrictions. There were "buddy booths" in these joints before Giuliani had them removed. BTW, Giuliani created havens for the porno shop to continue its trade in industrial districts and hinterland zones. |
|

| how you know about the buddy booths? what th F is a buddy booth? |
|
|
| FatesWebb |
1. buddy booth
http://www.urbandictionary.com/defi...erm=buddy+booth
A coin-op theatre booth in a nudie shack that has seating accomodations for two, or the same where two people in separate booths can remove a blind or partition between the cubicles. Either way, the purpose is to observe your buddy "enjoying" the film with you.
Jon wanted to go in on a buddy booth with me at the XTC porno hut, but I wasn't in the mood to watch him arc on the video screen. |

er yeah - he sure did - I'm not saying the guy is satan - but in what is perceived as the lesser of two evils (him and Messinger) "evil" still wins - you can't trust a guy that pushed to suspend the election so he could retain his mayorship - hell, even I at the time though "what a great idea" - but in retrospect how is he above the law? he's a schill - |

not an idiot. they thought he was a dictator who helped turn NYC into the capital of the world and Times Square into a place you could bring families again. He forced people to work, cut back on welfare, helped get rid of the mob, get rid of the scum hanging out on the streets like the window cleaners who used piss on your windows and forced you to pay them or threatened violence. He moved the homeless somewhere, just out of sight of all NY'rs. I always Giuliani even before he became a god after 9/11.
Giuliani showed how to lead, your boy Nagin in New orleans is a fucking putz who did nothing and blamed the government for not helping. |

Nope,
He's alive today because WTC 7 was evacuated very early in the day. He was never in any danger. He would still be alive even if he stayed in WTC 7 because then the order to demo it would not have been given unless he was out of there.
Anyone who thinks that WTC 7 collapsed because of damage from the fall of the towers either has never seen the distance between the towers and WTC 7 or hasn't studied the situation very closely. |

Giuliani is unlikely to win a Republican nomination for those very reasons. If the christian conservatives still dominate the party in 08, it will more likely be McCain. Of course, McCain is unfit for the presidency cause he adopted a dark skinned child. |

He is pro abortion, as is 56% of the republican party (believe it or not, its about the same figure as Dems who support abortion).
But not since Eisenhower have so many people said in polls they would vote for Rudy.
