I put it there years ago when I was organizing the "tool room"... I guess I just never got around to moving it...
I always intended to build a shed... but it's probably better that I didn't... who knows how many more times I would have had to replace all of my tools... |

The reason I didn't tape the corners in the ceiling is because I'm going to put up crown molding... that and I hate fucking taping... ;) | Ah,,,,listen man, ahhh,,,,your symbols,,, uhhh,,ahhh,,,look like you stole them,,,mutherfucker,,,,uhhh,,,,,from me!!! ;) |

Get that mold out of there.

I'm pretty handy with tools and shit. Replaced the floors in most of my house and stuff, but i have a possible stupid question.
About to redue my Main Bathroom and want to replace the Tub.
Info that i get is it is a real pain in the ass.
Question is, How hard is it to do by one's self or with someone helping lift and trash the old one?
Don't want to start a new thread for one question so if you want to dump this feel free. |

Mav, I helped my brother replace a tub, they're not real heavy. 2 people is easier, but they're pretty hollow. Make sure you get the drain on the correct side! Knot might be able to give yo better info. |

the one thing is is your current tub a cast iron or fiberglass one that will determin on how many hands you will need to get the old one out or put the new one in |

It's not a horrible job as long as you're kind of hand with plumbing... the biggest pain in the ass is generally getting the drain line with the overflow back in... if the old tub is cast iron just take a sledge hammer to it... it's a lot easier to take out in pieces than it is to try to remove and carry the entire thing...
If you take some pictures and put them up I could tell you much better what would be your best bet... |

Thanks PIR, Banq, Knot.
It's a fiberglass job. The guy that lived in the condo before we bought it tried doing his own improvements in a lot of areas and i find meeself redoing a lot of bullshit.
when i get started on it i deffinatly look for some advice. |

Like I said Mav... take some pics and I can pretty much guide you through anything... I used to do that for a construction company that had properties all over and it was easier to give the guys a digital camera and a laptop and have them send me the pics to tell them what was wrong and how to fix it than it was for me to drive three hours for a 5 minute fix... it's a shame the company folded when the owner died because it was a sweet deal... I didn't have to leave my house all but two hours a week... I was constantly on call... but I don't sleep anyway so it didn't really matter...
I'd love to find another company willing to do that... but even though I've suggested to several companies that they take on the idea because it's like have one site superintendent on 10-15 jobs at the same time... but I guess the killing point for most companies is they can't bill for 10-15 site supers... |

With just a little extra work. You could install a jacuzzi tub. The mrs. would love you for it. I put one in my sister in-law house a while back. If your lucky enough to have an electrical outlet on the opposite side of the wall. Make it a gfi and the wiring is a piece of cake. |

You could also just put a GFI breaker in the box... my jacuzzi tub is hardwired so that was the route I went...

Actually I meant to say something about that a dozen times and it kept slipping my mind... PM me a couple pics of what you'd like done and I'll let you know when I can get to it and what you should buy...
I do pretty much absolutely everything... I gutted and redid my entire house in the last five years... by myself... down to the last screw... because honestly... most of the "friends" I have... aren't worth their weight in shit... |
