Just some ideas for you to bring to the show if you want. Take them or leave them, I don't want any credit for anything - just trying to put some ideas down for the darksider representation to reference.
If I was in your shoes, my head would be too clouded to remember some of the things I wanted to remember to say, so I will take some time out of my precious evening time to relate my thoughts for your possible help. I think we have similar thoughts on many things, so hopefully you can use some of what I type.
If you want to relate some of these ideas, but not from yourself, feel free to use them however you see fit ei "No, Scales from Saskatchewan on the Darkside said that, I'd never say anything like that, what kind of hillbilly dork do you think I am"

Howard has the thinnest skin. No parody's of him, nothing personal is ever discussed about him (like the divorce), Beth is off limits, Artie knows not to do the megaphone thing.....
Close second to Howard is Penny Crone - haha
Fred has put up with a lot, but does harber some deep hatred that comes out here and there against those who have pissed him off in the past
Artie has the thickest skin. Howard seems to go out of his way to try and break Artie, just to see if he can. Some times it is too much. Artie is too polite to really tell Howard to cut it out, and tries to deal with it because he has his dream job, gets paid well, and his fame is increasing. It is a big contributor to his problems, which may one day cause his death.
Gary has gotten a tough skin over the years.
Robin has it in ways (fat jokes at roast, as has been mentioned on air) - but is too out of touch with reality and ditzy to really catch a lot of things that could piss her off. Her news is a joke, she doesn't seem to get that. She gets mildly annoyed with Howard, Artie and Fred goofing during it - but she doesnt' realize that the reason she is there is for those of us who realize she is an annoying, ditzy, ignorant talentless person to laugh to ourselves about. She really thinks she serves a purpose, and many times gives herself too much credit. Howard knows how to play her, can read a few letters about her and good on her mildly, but hides behind making her think her contributions are worth while, and not for us fans who are in on the iggy to laugh at.
Artie has the toughest skin ever. Just had to mention that again.

Just something he thought would be a "fuck off" to the dad he has a reason to hate. Something personal that is hard to explain for the show, and Fred has never been really good at explaining stuff like that.

Same reason as above pretty much. I'm sure they had the proof, but it was more fun to grill Fred over it to see what reaction he may have had. Was his own personal fuck off to his dad, on paper, his name was too well known to try to use a new one, and using a new one would draw unwanted attention to it which he is now getting.

Today, he criticized Fred for being able to dish it out, but not take it. He also talked about some writer who would crap on someone, but not accept any crap. The silence was deafening, if I could have gotten through I would have said it was the "pot calling the kettle black". So, I assume Howard doesnt' know that he is the worst offender of "dishing it out and not taking it"
He is also the reason everyone makes so much money, so it is not unexpected that there are rules he doesn't have to live by. If you don't like it, collect your large big paycheck and leave.
However, Howard is no longer the "common man" Artie is the only "common man" on the show. Last week Howard was telling ARtie that Perrier and Cranberry juice helped hold off hunger. Perrier??? I don't even know how to spell it. He thinks that pretending that he goes out to rent his own videos makes him a common man? He has mentioned renting videos a lot, I'd love to see a picture of him out renting videos, I bet it does not happen - but he thinks it will make people relate to him by bringing that up a few times a week.

Howard has been holding off lately. I'd love for him and Artie to have a duelling megaphone session.
Funny as hell, and hearing Artie laugh makes me laugh too. But the porn line reading thing did give me an awkward feeling, maybe it was from the other guys there, but the innocent bigfoot funny part was kind of replaced by something a bit darker that day. They talked about it later a bit, but I had the feelings during the bit.

Need to schedule more time to let him ramble, he is really radio gold. I'd love for him to have his own show, or at least sit in on other shows on the channel from time to time. Can be long winded, but is always worth it - I always wish they had let him go on longer.
It was too much for a while, but now there is nearly nothing. Something in between would be good.
Get stuff out of her before she dies. I've never thought there was too much of her, but I don't think there needs to be too much more.

I think Lasker might be the odd man out "so to speak" - but it could be very entertaining.
I'd also love to be the guy in control of that meeting, and ask some really hard driving questions. Of course, behind Robins bullet and fist proof glass aquarium place. |
