I say no way should he be in the Hall of Fame. Cooperstown does not need this steroid freak. McGwire cheated and should not be voted in. I know, I know....how do you keep out everyone who has cheated in the past? I don't have that answer but this guy has disappeared like Bin Laden after Conseco "outed" him. He does not attend any baseball related functions now b/c of his guilt. What do you say....In or Out?
I say OUT OUT OUT....no H.O.F. for obvious cheaters. |

| he should be on the ballot, and then let the voters decide if he gets in or not. |

| He is on the ballot. It was announced today. You are the voter...what do you say? |

OUT!
They need to send the message. He was a hero back in 1998 for bringing back baseball, but all those great games of him catching and passing 61 are overshadowed by him and his collapse at the court hearing... |

| I say yes. He didnt break any baseball rules. You can say he cheated, but if you want to play that card you better kick Gaylord Perry out, and who knows who else. If you want to talk about players using drugs to gain an advantage, you better also start kicking guys out for using amphetimines. We all know that has been going on for years, and still is. The steroid era was a black eye for baseball, but it is not just the players fault. The owners turned a blind eye to what was going on. |

I say no, because of all of the steroid allegations and things of that nature it has brought down the value of his 1984 Topps baseball card i have of him and i am not a happy camper about it  |

I don't think he'll make it. This is from a 2005 article...
NEW YORK -- Mark McGwire could miss out on making the Hall of Fame because of baseball's swirling steroids scandal, heightened by his refusal to answer specific questions before Congress, an Associated Press survey showed Thursday.
Barry Bonds would get enough support to make it into Cooperstown, but he's far from being a shoo-in, according to results from 155 Hall voters polled this week among the roughly 500 eligible.
Only 65 said they would vote for McGwire when he becomes eligible in two years or were leaning that way; 52 said no or were leaning that way and 38 were undecided.
Bonds received 105 votes for election, 25 against and 25 were undecided.
Players need 75 percent of the vote to get into the Hall. |

Must be a counterfeit card you have there. He doesn't have a 1984 Topps card. :hw: |

Agreed, dude. Same goes for the whole steroid group, especially that fucker Bonds, who could have made it clean with his talent, but any betting man will tell you his ego pushed him into using steriods to take it up a notch or two.
It'll be a sad day when that phony piece of crap passes the mighty Hank Aaron. |

| I say as soon as Pete Rose is allowed in, then Mcgwire can go in.... Mcgwire never got caught cheating, but him and Ivan Rodriguez have shrunk the most since testing, so its obvious they are both were massive steroid users, so when Rose is in, they can go in.... |

Juiced up guys should have their own Hall of Shame. In that case, yes to McGuire for a good year or two...maybe.
For the real HOF, NOPE.
Bonds? Never! |

We all know Bonds was a user, but I find it funny that he hasnt shrunk like some of the others, he is still a big fucker.. Makes you wonder why he is the only one still big |

| McGwire hit 49 home runs as a scrawny rookie in 1987. A WS ring and 580 home runs make him a first ballot HOFer. |

| Let him in. He saved baseball in 98. What about all them pitchers that cheated with shit on he ball? And yes Rose should be in too. He cares if he fucking bet on baseball. |

Whaaaaaaaaa he took what the majority of sports is taking whaaaaaaaa. Like there are no steroid users in the HOF already.
People take shots at him for what happened in that hearing. Completley forgetting what a tax money wasting dog and pony photo op it was in an election year. Blame the people who need to be blamed. if Baseball and the TV networks wanted to stop the steroid problem they could do it in a heartbeat. The players union can bitch all they want but if it comes down to mandatory testing or being unemployed they will shape up and be tested. Of course that means there might be a labor dispute causing a lost season. And we all know MLB and the Fox network cant let that happen so the problem will always be there. |
