| I believe that on any given Sunday one team can beat any other team. Right now the Ravens have looked like a more complete team than they ever have, and I don't beleive we've seen the best they can play yet. The D is scary good and the offense is putting up better numbers with Billick taking over as OC. I like our odds against any of the other top teams. I also know that karma is a bitch and I wouldn't discount any team beating the Ravens on any given Sunday. |

I'm not sure who your refering to, but I'm assuming I am at leasdt one of the people you directed that comment toward.
I assure you I am far from a "blind" sports fan. Take a look at the numbers. Top 5 in scoring and defense. The Ravens are clearly the best constructed team in the league right now. That's not "blind" or "retarded". As for being beat, that is the point of this poll - who can beat them right now?
In my opinion, the answer is no one - at least not at this time. |

Are you from Baltimore? It seems odd that a Raven fan would even think about cheering for the yankees.
Anyway
This is the NFL and anything can happen on a given sunday. I doubt anyone can come into Baltimore right now and win. But to say that the Ravens won't have a tough fight in Indy or New England or San Diego is being blind and not being real.
I live and die with this team have been for the history of this team. When we lose my Sundays my Monday morning are shit. But that doesn't make me ignorant of the other good teams in the league. |

I was thinking the same thing after posting it. Just asking a question didn't mean for it to come off as talking shit. Just very odd (never) to see a person cheer for a Baltimore team and a New York team at the same time. A big no-no for anyone from Baltimore to cheer for anything New York its just in our blood. |

I am living in St. Louis right now. I moved here from Los Angeles.
I moved to Los Angeles from Daytona, Florida.
I moved to Daytona from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
I moved to Milwuakee from St. Louis after high school.
I've never lived in New York or Baltimore. I have been a Yankees fan since 1996. I have been a Ravens fan since 2000. I had never seen a defense like that. They made defense exciting. I love Ray Lewis, and mute my local games to listen to the Ravens on the Baltimore feed through Sirius.
With the technological advances in the last 10 years (internet, cell phones, expanded cable coverage, etc.) there is no reason to be a "homer" - people can now root for any team, follow them, watch and listen to the games - all from anywhere in the world.
Add that to the fact that I have spent the last 10 years moving around and maybe you can understand that the city I live in has nothing to do with the teams I root for.
I'm also a Tampa Bay Lightening fan - since 2002.
As for the "other good teams" - The Colts have no run defense and the Patriots are a shell of thier former selves. I think San Diego would be a good game. I beleive the Ravens would man-handle the Bears.
Again, at this time, I don't beleive there is a team that can beat them... |

See, I take it personally when people say I'm not a fan, because I wear my Ray Lewis jersey every week during the game. I do the same with my TO SF throw back jersey during Cowboys games. I actually catch more shit for the Ray jersey than the Owens. It's bullshit. Everyone here hates the Ravens. They're all so used to high-scoring offense (Mike Martz) that they can't enjoy a defensive clinic like the Ravens put on each week. |

Hope you didn't take my comment to say that your aren't a fan. Just living in Baltimore you get the feeling that there isn't many Ravens fans who didn't live or have somekind of hook into Baltimore.
Most fans outside of Baltimore still hang on to the media going overboard against this city for how this team got here and never looking at how this city was screwed over by the NFL.
I welcome all support for this team and class organization.

I'm assuming that you have some stats or evidence to support your assumption, so I'll point out a few facts...
There are 32 teams. That means that each team has a 3% chance of winning the superbowl at the beginning of the year.
If only teams with current winnig records can be considered, that leaves 15 teams - each with a 7% chance of winning...
If you count only the first place and wildcard teams at this date, that leaves 8 teams - each with a 12.5% chance of winning.
If you count only the teams with a .750 winning percentage, that leaves 4 teams, each with a 25% chance of winning...
The Ravens are included in all of these catagories...
If you add up the Ravens percentage chances, it equals a 47.5% chance of winning the superbowl.
This is some fucked up math, but it works in the Ravens favor, so I like it... |

| That is some great common sense along with math you did there with all the percentages and BS but my checkbook says they won't win it, I'd be willing to bet on any of the 7 other teams over the Raven's in the Playoffs. We'll just have to wait out this debate and see how they end up. It's generally a team with both offensive and defensive skills that win a Superbowl, not just the defensive end as the Raven's have, although since Billick has started calling plays there O has done a bit more then the norm. |

| Being a Steeler fan it pains me to say this, but the Ravens are still the best team in the AFC North. I think Baltimore just had a let down after the ass kicking we got on Sunday. If Mcnair stays healthy I think Baltimore goes deep in the playoffs. |

| Baltimore is very business like this year. The Bengals aren't the same focused team they were last year. Too many primadonnas have sprung up on that team. Not to mention the off the field problems. Cincys D stepped up last night, but I don't think they can sustain that level of play. |
