1st off I do not post links to right-wing blogs because it's very bias and you lefties wouldn't believe it anyway....which brings me to my point.
When you and others link left-wing blogs I give no trust to whats being reported. We should all find more credible sources to make our points, right or left. |

Every news organization has a right or left agenda, depending on whose buying AD spots.
On top of that, even the reporters and writers who write the stories have individual agendas (right or left).... I don't think there _IS_ such a thing as credible news source... that's an oxymoron. |

O.K. I just watched the O'Reilly / Franks interview and who got OWNED?
Barney Franks connects with " Bill don't act like a would-be district attorney. Go to law school if thats what you want"
Bill O'Reilly connects with " Thats just a dopey answer" and " what makes you the tsar of the interview" and " Thats Bull and you know it"
I think the video makes Barney look worse than O'Reilly by far. Franks wouldn't give a straight answer at first about income redistribution by trying to compare himself to Bush ( never thought I'd see the day a Dem used a Bush comparison ). Bottom line is Franks didn't want to admit he would support tax increase. |

did you watch the same interview and are you not aware of O'Reilly's interview tactics? Franks tried multiple times and O'Reilly just feels the need to talk over and interrupt - here is O'Reilly's style

there IS a credible news source. its called Cspan. but no one yells at each other or calls names or cuts off anyones mic, therefore its boring and thats why im the only one who watches it |

i dispute you assessment that orielly is an idiot. i think he is not an idiot, but rather a very smart businessman and entertainer. the goal is to get ratings, and he gets the highest ratings.
the only ones who are idiots are those who watch him for news. |

O'Rielly like Hannity are masters at Rhetoric and when they feel there might be a chance where they will lose the arguement the either shout above the person or flat cut them off. If someone was "allowed" to openly debate O'Rielly like Phil Donahue , O'Rielly looks like well George W. Bush.....

i havent checked, but i know for a fact oreilly has higher ratings in general then kieth. (yes kieths are rising)
its also a fact orielly is a very highly paid successful tv personality. (even if u named 10 people that made more it doesnt change that fact) and thats the goal to make money.

and more ppl watching dont = more correct information. u seem to assert kieths ratings are going up cause hes smarter. thats sillyness. ppl like dumb shows so they dont have to think. check the ratings for Cspan vs WWE. |

| Did anyone listen to Mastertape this morning? It's very relevent to this ratings discussion. Howard went off on a reporter for making it seem he was losing to competitors. Yeah H.S. and Bill O lost some people but still #1 by a goddamn mile. When your #1 your going to have ups and downs but Bill O owns cable tv by 500%. |

i'm not really into master tape too much,i was over at jazzcafe on 71 then i drifted over to 146 at 9:00am,but i was on long enough to hear him going off on something about a bad ratings article |

I'm not so sure Bill O'Reilly sees himself or his schtick as merely entertainment. I think he actually believes he is politically relevent in today's America -- and sadly, I suppose he is.
The reason so many rational people have a problem with him is the fact that most of his viewers take him seriously and believe he is credible. That would be different than the majority fans of WWE who realize that what they're watching is staged.
