Search You Tube, there is a ton mirko Cro Cop.

Tim will take a beating much worse than the one Franklin took. It'd be easier if he'd just hand the belt over and save himself the shame and recovery time.

I honestly believe it'll be a mauling. Starting with the breaking down of his legs to where he's hobbling and then he'll finish him off with a head kick. and I can't wait to hear Bubba say that Tim will win. lol but Vera is facing Tim first and some say that he'll take it.. but I hope one day we do see Cro Cop finish off Tim for good.

i been telling people UFC has a plan... they been stockpiling all that PPV money, and along with the stations casino money they are going to make a move in 2007 in buying out small orgs and buying up big talent, like the WWE did to wrestling.... they seem to have started a little earlier than i thought... lol.. if they sign Shogun next i'll shit lol... they tryin to cut the legs out of the next Pride show either the NYE one or the Feb one in the US
Mike in Miami
Honestly I'm hoping it shows the UFC heavyweights, while much lower skilled than Pride's division, is somewhat underrated.
Heatherwiz
Oh man about time the UFC heavyweights had something exciting going on! Crop Cop will smell blood in the water and have that title in no time. Tim will go down uglier and faster than Rich Franklin did. Pride fighters are insanely talented, this kind of shift can only improve the UFC in the end.

If only we saw Fedor come over... oooooo shivers....
Jaeger
Me thinks the thought of a move to the HW division for Chuck doesn't seem like as good an Idea today.
Ned'sTesticles
I do think this is gonna be a bombshell within the Heavyweight ranks... and I honestly can't blame Mirko for making the jump. He DID earn a 2nd shot at Fedor in Pride by winning the open-weight Grand Prix, but I'd hoenstly saw that as a gamble for him. If he would have lost to Fedor again, Pride really wouldn't have a whole lot to do with him. It's alot like how Wanderlei beat Sakuraba 3 times and Rampage twice... Saku and Rampage didn't have much choice than to move on to other organizations... they were both great fighters, but always seemed to hit a glass ceiling when it came to the title. I think Mirko would have ended up the same way, and his price would have gone waaaay down in the UFC.... I just don't think he's got the game to beat Fedor, but atleast he had the forsight to make himslef the best deal at the right time.

As far as Mirko fighting Sylvia goes... I'd have to give it to Mirko most definitely. But.... Tim poses a problem for everyone he faces due to his reach (unless you're 7 ft. Semmy Schilt). I don't think Crocop would necessarily walk through Tim, as Tim will do his best to create distance, and succeed alot of the time. Although it's Mirko's left high kick that puts everybody to sleep, I see it being the continuous left body kicks that are gonna break down Tim and do most of the damage... and Mirko is smart enough to know when he's got Tim's body softened up enough that he'll see Tim drop that right arm when Mirko's left foot leaves the canvas.... then I see headkick coming that will be the stuff highlight reels were invented for. Mirko is so fucking good at that game... he can switch that kick from low to high in a fraction of a second, and before ya know it, you're waking up in the locker room. Tim's got a huge target for those body kicks that'll make for easy access when it comes to Mirko's left leg. What does Mirko say?... "right leg, hospital... left leg, cemetary" ...lol.

Now... one thing ya have to keep in mind as well is that Crocop fought in the Open Weight GP recently at 214 lbs. I believe... He could easily cut down to 205, and if that happens.... oooohhh fuck, look out Chuck. Now that would be a massacre :D ... Who knows, Mirko might actually be the guy to walk in and grab 2 straps. Stay tuned folks... this is gonna be good one way or the other.

WTF

I think calling it lame is being nice.
Mike in Miami
I mean they have the money to get some good fighters, and good people behind the scenes... but this is totally horrible having mario lopez and goldberg as announcers....

they should have signed BAS! Best MMA commentator ever! lol

Hopefully UFC will start upping their fighter pay. It's well known that they are cheap compared to Pride, and if they swallow up all the other major orgs there won't be any incentive to pay what fighters are worth.

When they're pulling in 20+ million per PPV event, paying the fighters only $10-20,000 is not going to garner the best talent out there.
daven30
Dana's giving Tito and Chuck Pay per View back end money PLUS a purse. They will make a mil a piece
Mike in Miami
I think the top of the card guys are getting more in the UFC now than in Pride. And the brand new guys are getting about the same low level pay in both places, its just Pride pays the middle of the road fighters a little more... its nothing so drastic... hating on UFC and nestling in Pride's nutsack is just the "cool" thing to do these days... like hating on a band once they "go mainstream" or something.

This is what he said in the Croatian Newspapers

Sources http://www.jutarnji.hr/sport/ostali...12,14,,54543.jl

"Zagreb - Mirko Filipovic rejected news which hit the internet on Thursday on sherdog.com, a famous internet site for mma news, which said that the Croatian gladiator already signed the offer from the American organisation (UFC)."

"I repeat, I received an offer from the UFC and other organisations. Within these offers, I have NOT promised anyone something, nor signed any kind of agreement. I will pick the best offer, the first day i receive it. I don't know who is hiding behind "some source within Mirko' camp" because no one except me knows how I will continue my sport career except me.."

He said "some source within my camp" because the "news" from Sherdog.com claim to have these informations from someone within his camp, which they posted on Thursday.
