| And also, I've been listening to bubba since he was on 93.3 its not like I don't like the show, I just think its a waste of time to have a long discussion off the air playing price is right theme and then talk about the thing they cant talk about for 10min after... just talk about it during the commercials or when they're playin some other song parody or something. |

Well if you are a long time listener, then you also realize they almost ALWAYS give up what they were talking about during the price is right, and today was no exception.
I'm done spelling it out, and letting everyone in on the iggys. If I can listen to the show and hear all this shit plain as day, they I have no reason to believe others can't do the same. |

| I dont mind TPIR so much as I do the long ass intro. I wait all day to hear the show and I hafta endure 10 minutes of the same crap almost daily. Id rather he cut out the 'gatorade deal' and the FTE song. It was cool the first 10 times i heard it. |

It's not the fact that you don't like 1 thing. It's that this thread has been posted here countless times. Things are not going to change. And anytime Bubba makes an issue of TPIR someone starts a " I hate the Price is Right" blah blah blah.

| Just from his reaction right out of the chute, the issue must've taken a turn for the interesting right at the last minute. Knowing Bubba's ADD, he probably would've forgotten about it 5 minutes later and never addressed the issue, and then we would've been left wondering what that was all about. I might not have 10 years of listening under my belt (because he wasn't syndicated where I live -- Atlanta too far away to pick up radio stations from there), but that makes me no less of a fan than anyone else. Jaeger pretty much hit the nail on the head -- just tired of all the bitchin' about PIR and show openings. We're fans, so let's enjoy it while we can for as long as we can! |

The Price Is Right jones is an important part of the show. Would you rather it be like terrestial radio where the things they talk about are hardly as interesting or engaging? On terrestial radio the DJs will dump out to a full song or a full commercial break set at any point they need to discuss something relevant to the stupid things they discuss among themselves. When you look at it from that context, AND consider that PIR gives the guys a chance to review what they're going to discuss and possibly set some safety parameters to avoid lawsuits resulting from possible bullshit slander/libel allegations, PIR keeps the show flowing more than disrupting it.
Plus, like many other posts have pointed out, Bubba does read a lot of the stuff here from SFN, and as he says all the time "I don't mean to be a dick" (usually said right before something that could only come across as being a dick) he knows it pisses some people off.
Price Is Right jones is solid radio gold. Bob Barker is a god among game show hosts (nearly as old as God, too, I think) |
