Back in August I was privileged to be introduced to a real, live 9/11 truther.
The occasion was the annual summer picnic and BBQ thrown by the firm my GF works for. – XXX Consulting Scientists and Engineers in Environmental Sciences. They do everything from Phase 1 .E.P.A. studies to Superfund investigation and site management.
I’ve worked as a consultant to them a few times when E.O.D. issues came up during the course of their work – I’m also a serious BBQ’ing mother f’er, and I was doing part of the cooking.
As the party went on, one of the engineers introduced me to her son, I.D.ing me as “The Company Explosives Expert” and suggesting to him that he should “talk to him (me) about your 9/11 stuff.” I’ll refer to him as “Bob.”
Bob seems to be a normal 20-something kid.
Bob pretty much believes everything Alex Jones puts out.
I try to explain to him the complexity of a setting up and executing a CD on two structures on the scale of the WTC towers, the impossibility of doing so covertly, and the implausibility of the thermite/thermate/termite CT’s. I refer him to the Implosionworld article for detailed information.
Bob tells me that hasn’t read the Implosionworld paper, and won’t. He isn’t too interested in any theory that doesn’t involve a CD of the Towers. He makes all the same assertions posted here, with just about as much willingness to listen to any contrary information, especially from someone like me.
Bob makes three trips to the beer cooler in under an hour…
I finally ditch this kid, and go hold court with the CAD guys and the IT guy and proceed to have an enjoyable time. Another hour or so goes by.
My GF comes up to me, and wants to split, like rfn.
I don’t know what’s up, but I start packing my stuff and get ready to split – Bob’s mother comes up to us, and wants to apologize, etc. I didn’t know wtf was going on, and the GF is trying to get us (me) going out. We get in the truck and leave, and then my girl tells me part of what happened.
It seems that Bob really didn’t like my explanations, and rather than keep it to himself, or confronting me, he walked up to my girl and “said something” – my girl wouldn’t tell me what at the time, and she explained that she wanted us gone before the kid said something to me.
I chalked it up to youth, stupidity and beer muscles, and that was pretty much it for me.
Later on that week I got a phone call from Bob’s Mom, who again apologized for Bob’s behavior, and I started getting curious. I asked Bob’s Mom what had happened from her viewpoint, as all I knew at that point was that he “said something.” Bob’s Mom either didn’t really know, or wouldn’t tell me, and that REALLY got my curiosity going.
At this point, my only recourse was to call the company gossip and rumor control central.
She told me that she not only knew what happened, she thought I already knew.
I had her fill me in on the details.
She reported that herself, my GF and a few of the other ladies were sitting around the pool when Our Hero walked up to my girlfriend, and asked her how she felt being
”married to a murderer and liar” and if she minded that He (me) “sucked Bush’s dick.”
My GF had the good sense to tell him to go sober up, and then went after me to get me out of there before anything else happened. When I told the GF that I had spoken to Ms. Gossip and knew what happened at the BBQ w/ Bob, she admitted that her first thought was that the kid would shoot off his mouth to me and I’d respond in kind – or worse.
Funny how real life sometimes imitates cyber life – the kid couldn’t bring himself to speak to me directly, so he shoots his mouth off to someone who wasn’t a threat to him or was even involved in the issue.
Probably walked away thinking OWNED!
The joke’s on him.
Next BBQ I’m going to feed the little fucker some Habanero chilies that’ll melt his eyes! |

If Max really would have watched 9/11 Mysteries he would have seen the interviews with WTC workers who saw and heard all kinds of odd things in the weeks and months leading up to 9/11.
And how many fucking times do you have to be told that Marvin Bush and Wirt Walker III (cousin) sat on the board that ran security.
So how hard would it have been to gain access, late at night, weekends, holidays, etc etc.
And the infrastructure of the towers was not accessible in the office areas of the buildings so it's not like they had to move the fax machine to prepare the building. |

did he work for a company that sells people for sex slaves? Id say anything short of murder outclasses you. yep thats an ad hominem attack, but it also is a valid one. considering the very perpertrators of 9/11 were dyncorp and other cia front companies.... this is like dahmer telling us that cannibles dont eat people... good luck in having anyone believe you. |

You're probably right. I don't pretend to know who did this or that. I have seen very compelling evidence that the official story is inaccurate.
I'm not asking you to explain what happened. I'm asking you to prove the official story is true. I don't care what you think. I place available evidence against the official story.
And you're wrong on your final assertion. I assure you many people read what Fates posts. There was a thread on the subject not too long ago. |

nope, I know what is impossible, what has been proven incorrect, and I have some theories based on fact about who did what. doesnt mean I know everything. Just I know that the official story is bullshit. |

It's worth noting that the tactics employed by our resident 9/11 CT fanatics here are no different than those employed by the kid I described in the OP - the lack of maturity that leads them to use pejorative terms and insults to bolster their position.
In the case of the kid in the op, he couldn't even bring himself to say them to my face.
Here, the safety of distance and anonymity gives the posters courage to use the same terms.
In a debate or conversation, if someone uses those terms and language it only demonstrates their lack of confidence and maturity. |

You are incorrect about the experience being goofy - the individual involved from your side of the street acted exactly as you do, he himself couldn't explain anything, only refered me to other's work, and after the conversation had ended he verbally abused a defenseless woman, not involved in the discussion.
Sounds to me like he got the memo from the home office, and followed it to the letter. |
