They are all gone.

They are done importing them and shipping them to dealers.

Remove the plug in the FM out port. :D

Try the link in my signature. That will help explain it. The new units for SIRIUS and XM have weaker Fm Transmitters. The best thing is to not use the FM Transmitter whatsoever.

I just bought a couple of S50's from Crutchfield.

I bought one a few weeks ago and it came with a little loop wire to plug into FM out, and it works great. I just got another one, and it didn't come with it. I'm going to email the sirius store and see if I can get one. It makes a HUGE difference.
I love the S50!!

Will the car kit price go down soon? I didn't realize it needed a dock in order to get the live signal and I don't want to keep taking it in and out of my car each day. (I want the car kit for the FM transmitter, I heard the home kit does not have one.)

Sorry, but the search function is down.

Should I keep my S-50 or purchase a new Steletto 100?

Will I still be able to hit the 'heart' button to save a song?

Are there any reasons why I should keep the S50?
Has Sirius addressed the uncomfortable headphones on the S-100?

Thanks

I'm tired of my S-50. Mainly because it lacks the memory feature that gets you back to where you left off on recorded shows.

When I am about 3 hrs into a 4 hour recording and have to FF all the way to that point again after it powers off it's frustrating.

Sometimes the FF will even go past the end of the recording and into the next one and require starting over again.

Another annoying thing about S-50s (that I don't know about with the Stilettos) is the lag time between powering on and when the sound catches up. Even my Sportster is much better with that.

I will probably leave it in another car and use the Stiletto more often.

Thanks for the input.
I've never recorded shows with it, only a few songs.
I really should know more about it for having it for over a year now.

i got a new one on ebay and the Bestbuy by my house had a few left.

Yes, that is most fucking annoying.

the other annoying thing is they dont allow you to use he emory as you see fit. the only allow 1/2 fpr mp3's and 1/2 for recordings. i would like the flexability to use the memory as i see fit. when i travel i want the ability to load it with mp3's, not load 1/2 the memory.

ninja_bcore,
I just ordered one from from Sirius.com. Use the SFN affialiate link and when you check out use coupon code howard20 for an extra 20% off. After the $100 rebate it ended up costing me $54.07. Thats with shipping, taxes and everything. Here is the affialiate link http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-1573014-10366612

All the s50s are out of stock at sirius.com

That sucks, I must have gotten one of the last ones.

The FM trans was crap and for some reason Chevys have more of a problem. In the box was a note about a FM Plug thats keeps it from interfering w/ other cars. Take it out and its great. If ya need it there is a small, about 3" long, extension anttenna that ya can plug in if ya need ta. It's coiled up in a zip lock but they don't tell ya what it is for.
I just had a problem w/ my S50 where it has played good all day but when I came out of the store nothing. I reseated it no go. I checked signal nothing and then I checked for the SID and it was blank. The SID is what lets it recieve the Sat Signal, so no SID no SIRIUS. Has any one else seen this problem? I had this unit for < 2 months.
koker93
Wow, this really kinda sucks. I just got off the phone with Sirius. No more S-50's. If you guys find one in a retail store, buy it up - there will be no more :(

They did offer me a free home dock for a Stiletto - a $250 radio versus one that could be had for as little as $75.
Misskitty
I own 2 s50's. Have had them since Dec. 05. They are so glitchy, have to keep playing with them. Put up with them since they recorded and I have a transmitter in the house so could walk around with a small radio and hear the show. One of them won't turn on anymore.

Called Sirius and complained and they are sending two stilettos tomorrow for 50% and the s50's, the home dock, the car dock are going to be tossed in a drawer. Maybe I should part out the pieces that work.
