| Just got it today, it constantly says Acquiring Signal. I thought they were supposed to play inside? |

Think of the Stiletto 100 in the same manner as Satellite TV, you can't put the satellite dish in your house, you have to put it outside (preferably on the roof, pointed in the general direction of the signal.) You can't listen reliably indoors with the provided headphones because there is almost no signal reception.
You CAN listen indoors with the WiFi feature to the internet stream, assuming you have a wireless router in your home.
You CAN listen indoors with a home kit and the antenna pointed out a window, or, again, on the roof. |

It will play anywhere you can receive one or more of the following signals: Satellite Transmission, Terrestrial Repeater Transmission or Access to a WiFi Network. This can happen inside, but not always.
At my home, I can receive a Satellite signal in my house, so it would work. At the office, I can pick up a terrestrial repeater, so it would work. At one of my clients, there's no repeater, the satellite can't penetrate the roof and there's no WiFi, so I'm fucked. |

| Not at all, it is made to work off of the internet. Go get a wireless box, they're pretty cheap. |

I also had the false assumption it would work indoors, but it only really does with wifi-not satellite. But here is a strange question, I wonder if anyone else knows what could cause this.
Had a sportster/home kit worked fine..set the signal to come in on 88.1 ,on the radio it was near as well as any other radio in the whole house used to pick up Sirius on 88.1.
Replaced the sportster with the Stilleto (same location), set the Stilleto to receive the signal on 88.1 and on the radio right next to it it comes in fine, but now throughout the house when tuning to 88.1 gets nothing but static. Tried different channel settings and it will only come in on the radio right next to stilleto itself.
Does this make any sense to anyone? |

Yes. Because of the crackdown by the FCC on the FM transmitters for both Sirius and XM, the transmitters that come in the new units (or kits) are very weak - almost unusable. |

I just got my Stiletto the other day. Had the sportster in the truck, I just used my exisiting FM transmitter, instead of the new one that came with the Stiletto. |
