No offense, but do you not pay attention?

Each radio needs it's own subscription. Each additional sub is $6.99/month. Sportster, stilleto both plug/play/portable. Unless you have multiple family members, there should really be no reason for multiple radios. I have 1 for me and 1 for my wife. Mine goes from my car, to work, back to the car, and to home. 1 radio, 3 different places. All I needed were additional home kits.

took me a little while to explain it to the MRS. but she surprised me with it this Xmas. It must of been the time I put it on paper that made her change her mind.

How i put it: $153 a year. Howard has 4 more years @ $614/4yrs  ..

What we did:

Lifetime Subscriber $499.99 + $77.45 Tax +
Standard Activation Fee 15.00 + 2.33Tax
TOTAL: $594.77

Should of done it the 1st time around and would of saved close to 2 hundo. O well Live & Learn.

And of course you can transfer your lifetime sub either 2 or 3 times (3 I believe) to another radio for $75 each transfer. I would think that unless you're a forgetful person you could get away with 1 radio per person, if you use the right mix of home and car kits.

When I subscribe to cable TV I don't have to pay extra for having 3 TV's in my house.

You probably SHOULD be paying per TV.

While it is OK (legal) to hook multiple TV's up to one Cable TV subscription. You do have to pay extra per TV in many situations.

If you have any Pay Stations they charge a multiple TV charge (its only like $3 a TV, per Pay channel)
If your provider uses boxes you will pay a Per CableBox fee. You will normally need these boxes for Digital TV and HiDef, and in 2009 they are FINALLY turning off analog signals so unless the cable company decides to continue to provide them (why would they) you will need a cable box or Digital-Analog converter.

TRUE!

If I come across the cash to get a lifetime subscription for my Stiletto I think I will get it. Sure they might come up with a Stiletto 2 or whatever it would be called, but other than increasing memory, making it smaller, coming up with a better looking headphone antenna I don't see
how the reception ( which is the most important thing) could be any better on the unit itself.

The best ally of any of these portables are the terrestrial repeaters and increasing the number of them across the country is the best thing they can do. The wifi capability the Stiletto currently has can only be improved by allowing it to receive the better quality stream, which is a no biggie for me. I don't record much and I don't have a problem deleting and moving files once I reach my memory limit so I think a lifetime sub on my Stiletto would be worthwile.

2 things the Stiletto Lacks.

1) Can't Record Wi-Fi
2) No Removable Memory Card.

hopefuly The Stiletto's next generation will add these on.

I've been a lifetimer for a little over a year now. I have one in the stereo of my car. I really don't need a portable one, since if I'm at home, I can just listen to Sirius on the website with my computer. And I prefer something that's flush with the car, and not sticking out somewhere like a radar detector.

The way to do it, do it right. hopefully when we go to get Sirius TV is cheaper for us.
Liver
yea, i got the lifetime 2 years ago....Also got the TIVO lifetime, the only way to go

I bought my Lifetime subscription in May 2005. I purchased my Lifetime for $357.
That one's a factory radio in my Dodge truck. I'm still on my 1st radio.

Got a Mazda with a factory radio in April 2006, with a 12 month free subscription.

Bought a Stiletto in Dec 2006. Got 1 month free. $76.89 for the year.

So I have 3 subscriptions, and only paid Sirius about $434, so far.

I'm making out like a bandit! Fuck that 12.95 a month shit!
got1toburn
dang you're in the clear.
