Company To Report Positive Free Cash Flow For Fourth Quarter 2006
NEW YORK, Jan. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
SIRIUS Satellite Radio today announced that it ended 2006 with approximately 6,024,000 subscribers, an 82% increase over the company's 2005 ending subscriber base of 3,316,560. SIRIUS added a record 2.7 million net subscribers in 2006. Based on preliminary financial data, SIRIUS achieved its first ever quarter of positive free cash flow in the fourth quarter of 2006. |

At the beginning of the year, Sirius projected 6 million by year end, and they hit it. The only place they slipped up was getting too giddy and raising it to 6.3 million over the summer at the same time XM was dropping their projection. There was no need to do that, because just by holding to their original projection they already looked better than XM.
XM projected 9 million by the end of the year. They had to lower that by over a MILLION. We’re waiting to hear what number they actually hit. |

man, id love to buy another radio for myself and another one for 3 friends, but the FM transmission in the North Los Angeles area has gotten way worse with the new FCC regulated radios. Just horrible.
Great news to hear about Sirius though...... that funeral cant get here fast enough. Now if there was only a way we could take that GM contract away..... it would be GAME OVER! |
