| I was told by Sirius tech support that they will be sending a free 'FM OUT' antenna extender cable to all subscribers with those radios that fall under FCC with weak FM transmitter signals. He also said that they are sending a gift certificate for install of the product. Hopefully that tech wasnt blowing smoke up my ass....... so get ready for help for that horrible signal. |

No, what really sucks for people with the new radios is a passing car with a Sirius Radio, iPod or other item broadcasting.
I get interrupted all day as cars pass me, Its most obvious when I'm stopped, like sitting at a light.
The old transmitters over power the weak signal the new ones send out.
The FM space is so crowded here that I gave up trying to get my old SportsterReplay to work everywhere through the stone walls in my house. So I bought an FM transmitter for the house, and now get a good signal everywhere inside on an unused frequency.
But never had a problem in the car since the antenna was 5' away. Now I get static all the time, and overpowered frequently.
I'm listening to Howard then 10 sec of RAP go by.......
I have a FM modulator that was include in the bundle I bought, but haven't gotten around to putting it in yet, will soon.
