I am fully aware of that...I was being sarcastic. $20.00 a day x 5 days a week for physical therapy has taken a chunk out of my spending...so the only way I can support the forum is to get the word out about Bubba and SFN. |

You didn't piss me off at all :) I had total knee replacement on Nov. 14th...I went to the doctor last Thursday and I might have to have more surgery (manipulation) because of the adhesions growing around the ligaments and tendons unless the physical therapist and loosen them up. I'll know for sure in 2 weeks. So that's why so much physical therapy. |

Ouch! Definitely physical TORTURE -- therapy is supposed to help you feel better, not worse. I was extremely leary of even considering the thought of arthroscopic on both my knees a couple years ago (mine are shot, but an arthroscopy isn't gonna help me with my issues of a degenerative incurable disease (rheumatoid arthritis)). I wonder if perhaps they were too aggressive with your therapy, thus causing the adhesions. I do hope though that all goes well and that you do have a successful recovery. |

My knee was destroyed over the years from a fractured femur I had in 1973. I had reconstructive surgery on my femur in 1998 because my leg was bowing outward...the ortho doctor caused more damage to my leg (long story) which caused more strain on my knee so I had injections, arthroscopic surgery and nothing more could be done other than TKR...it was to the point I couldn't walk without severe pain. PT didn't cause the adhesions..I am just more succeptable to them for some reason.
It sounds like TKR would benefit you...you should look into it but it's not an easy surgery or recovery...I'm stubborn and determined to get my life back and so far I've made tremendous progress in recovery. PT is torture...now they are working on the hamstring to gain more mobility along with the incision massages. |
