I finally put my money where my mouth is and canceled Howard TV. I tried to hang in there with Comcast and their twice a week updates but even then I wasn't finding the entertainment value I had hoped for. The film festival hooked me but the content wasn't special enough to warrant keeping. The new show template of whore/sybian ride/ hardly any special content on howard tv made for boring programming. Maybe I'll try again in a year when they've had a chance to load up with some new shows but for now I give it a thumbs down. :(

I am not happy with HTV as well. I got a letter today from Comcast saying they are raising the price to $10.99 a month. Granted it is only $1 more per month, but I have had nothing but issues with HTV. Shows are somtimes pixelated and skip and pause which Comcast insists is due to my coax cables being bad (I think it is due to traffic). Updates are pathetic. I didn't receive the Little Friends category until last week (over a month after it was supposed to be on) and have not received the Staff Antics category that has been on the schedule for over 2 weeks now. I have posted several times in the content missing thread with absolutely no help from Jason Patton. And finally the repeats are just becoming ridiculous. I am tired of seeing Richard get his balls waxed and Jenna on the sybian. Let's all hope HTV is on to bigger and better things in 2007. As for Comcast, they suck and will never get their shit together seeing as how they have no other cable companies to compete with in this market. God bless a greedy monopoly.

Comcast does't replace the coax cable for free?? I have Time Warner and I was having problems with my internet connection and after about five or six times of them comming out to my house they finally found out that teh problem was taht my cable had small cracks in it that allowed moisture to get in. They replaced it and I haven't had a problem with dropped connection since.

As for you getting shows late, I had similar problems. On one converter I would have all the shows and categories but teh converter in my room wasn't receiving certain shows.. but it was still getting updated. I called TWC and they said that it was because some signal wasn't strong enough, they came and installed some sort of ampliphier and everything is good now. (I even got credited for HTV from teh time I called and when they arrived, three days).

You should just keep calling Comcast and complaining. They will always try to dick you around the first couple of times but if you are persistant they will eventually cave.

I also just cancelled my subscription. Had it for about 8 months, and it has gotten progressively worse. I don't know how well Howard tv has done throughout the states, but I'm guessing it didn't take off as they would have liked(hence the lack of updates, resolution of technical issues, recycling previously played content numerous times, less diggin into the E archive)
Sorry but for $13.95 a month it is definitely not worth it. When the first new show you have in almost 2 weeks is a 10 minute phone call with Barbara Walters something is wrong.
I pay $11 for Hbo with Hbo indemand, and they update it ever week with about 30 movies, shows, specials, and documentries. Howard tv should take this approach and just update the show weekly with at least 20 new shows(new to Howard tv) I'd love to see more of the classic E shows. There are so many out there. Anyway I'll keep in tune here to see if anything improves in the coming months that would warrant me trying it out again.

Unfortunately I prepaid for the year, but I too think I'll be canceling. The content is so stale. I didn't get it until Oct and there are still things i'm waiting to see that aired prior to that time, yet i'm already seeing recycled stuff from oct->now.

I want to see more girls and more staff stuff.

i hate 2 but i agree as well. i just got howard tv and the updates are slow as hell. same old fucking show and i am ending it as well

just cancelled . 3 daily shows a week isnt worth it. money is tight these days for me so i scalled my bills down. HTV all in all is a poor product. the repeats, the lack of updates, coudnt keep it anymore. :(

Wow- looks like I wasn't the only one feeling this way.
