I need to book a hotel in Columbus for Friday, January 12th for the night as my family and I are passing through Columbus on our way to see family.

We'll be coming in on 70 E, to 670 E to 71 N.

What area's of town should I stay away from booking in? I want to try and stay near the highway so we can get out easy the next morning.

I want to try and book now, so I don't have to get a room that night.

Any help would be cool.

How much are you willing to spend?
The Double Tree is 6 - 8 blocks from their and is in the heart of downtown..

If you're just passing through Columbus and on I-71 N, you could push all the way to the Polaris Parkway exit and stay there.

There's a few hotels on the exit.

I am just looking to pass through. Not looking to spend much. Below $50 would be cool.

All your help is great.

About $50-$55 a night last time I was there. The rooms are decent and clean. And it's less than a quarter mile from the highway entrance/exit. And it's right next door to a McDonald's if you need a quick breakfast in the morning. It's about 8 minutes or so from downtown.
