| I've talked to a couple members through PM's and AIM about starting a Darkside Powerball Pool... I figured I'd throw it out there for public consumption and see if anyone has any ideas on the best way to fund it and if you all think it's really worth doing... |

Powerball is here in Az too, not sure how e transactions could be safely handled though. Paypal is too expensive. |

| Good idea but I don't know how you can trust someone like me to go and get the tickets at the gas station or whereever you get them. Around here just about every Tom, Dick and Harry store sells them, and they are pretty easy for me to get up to the last minute because of the small population. As you notice Nebraska has a lot of large Powerball jackpot winners for the size of the state. I guess is there technology out there where we could have a pool and invest in it in shares with a credit card? |

JUst the money, who, what and when. With the PowerBall up to around 115 million right now, that would make a nice start to "Darksideville". :D |

I'm thinking maybe we could do a monthly buy in... Like $20 a person or something... not sure on the best way to fund it... I figure if we'd get ten people a month we could buy 25 tickets for each drawing... and anything under the $10,000 prize gets thrown back in to buy additional tickets for the drawing following any winnings...
Who ever wants to be in charge will purchase the tickets no less than one day in advance... photo copy the tickets and distribute a copy via PM or e-mail to each participant... All tickets would be cash option with all initial post tax dollars being divided equally among the current months participants... |

| I would check with the lottery company to see if they have a joint ticket purchase agreement. Thye have these up here and all memebers buying tickets as a group sign the agreement that way everyones rights are protected if are any winnings. |

Virginia Lottery allows you to "subscribe" to certain numbers each week for our home state "Mega Millions". I don't see that option from the Powerball site, but maybe it is offered through someone's home state lotery page?
If so, then the point person could purchase and either give everyone the password or send e-mail of screencap showing the numbers for the week. Payment could be cheapest online provider or snail-mail 2 weeks in advance?
