I don’t know Brent’s inner thoughts but I suspect he’s more pissed off that Religion is a lie and a form of mind control that has been shoved down his throat all his life. Top that with all the assholes who realize doing something in the name of God is the easiest way to manipulate people and have them fight your fights because they are scared to do otherwise. Perhaps Brent just believes in what he can see and in the No More Bullshit theory. Say your chick tells you daily she loves you but every time you leave the house she has every cock in the neighborhood in her mouth. Are her words enough? Is one’s faith that strong?

Moderation, that is cute.

When it comes to religion - Go Big or Go home I say.

There is a fine line between not bashing other peoples religion, and having the logical ability to realize for yourself what is bullshit and then being so frustrated at how religions have been at the root of all evil, to keep ones mouth shut.

I like to hear Brent and Manson's views because they are the same views I've had for a while.

But I can see why Christians don't want to hear any of that, the logic behind it might affect their blind faith. They have a right to have blind faith, if beleiving in Santa Clause or the Tooth Fairie makes you feel better about yourself - then you should be allowed to beleive in that.

They really don't know how good they have it. Up here in Saskatchewan Canada - if you aren't a faithfull Christian, you are a very small minority and get discriminated.

I don't prescribe to any one notion of a god myself, & can whole-heartedly agree that religions are a tool.
But I can't fault others for believing in what they want to or the reasons why, this life shit is different for everybody & we do need to respect one another if for no other reason than that.
In my mind god could be some traveler that spit where he shouldnt've, which is to say that it'd be more of a progenitor type of scenario, kinda like the Planet Caravan video by Pantera.

Perfect ending to your own thoughts about god. That was good!

Religions are just there to control those who has to belive...
I don't and won't belive, logic is by far better than religion

The problem is not religion in itself, Its those that use it to manipulate people. Perfect example is that asshole Pat Robertson. He claims God told him a disaster is imminent in 2007. This is the same guy that is praying that Supreme Court justices will be struck down and that a leader of a foreign country is assassinated. What happens if he's wrong? Will he take credit for saving us? There is no end to his delusions. Better buy his protein milkshake and exercise program or we're all doomed. The media should stop legitimizing these characters. Jerry Falwell used to fill in on the now defunct Crossfire. For those unfamiliar with the show, the set was split between the red (Republican) and blue (Democratic) sides. Then a bunch of idiots would yell at each other and argue accomplishing nothing. Falwell was brought in as a representative for the "red" side. Falwell is an extremist and a televangelist that has no business on a show about POLITICS.

The emergence of rational thought killed religion for those who now choose to think rationally, the belief in religion is not rational and cannot be supported using rational argument. I love when Brent and Manson bash religion because no one else has the balls to do it and most of us have to walk thru our lives being PC about the religious wackos because religious people go nuts if you say anything against religion

Please read The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. Thank you.
