I think there have been a million posts about howard tv just showing the show...
Was Doug Goodstein's New Year's Resolution to give us what we've been asking for?? ...because these first two daily shows for this year have been great! It's fun watching actual show "antics" instead of made for tv penis jokes!
Like the daily show from today- 01/03, when howard calls JD in to talk about his "da bad ass" nick name and it spiraled into a hilarious 40 minute conversation about bad porn and sex and Richard being gay... They probably plan out all that shit, but they do a good job fooling me!

The first two shows of the new year have been great examples of how good these Daily shows can be each day. Unfortunately, it's only because there were no guests and Doug had no choice but to pick and choose from the leftovers (which is how I'm sure he sees it). Normally, he goes for the high profile guest or big visual stunt o' the day even if it's not as funny just because it's more visual. That's retarted. Always go for the funny first. First rule in comedy.
I still think the Daily Show should be much longer so they can have staff bits and a guest or two each day depending on the content provided.
I still don't think Doug and DePace understand why we as an audience want to watch HTV. When Barbara Walters called in, DePace cuts to shots of the sound meter as she talks several times. What? Part of the fun of a phone interview on TV is being able to see the people in the room react to what she's saying. We couldn't see that on the radio. Whenever you show some other shot like the meter, you're wasting valuable reaction time.
Now that DePace has the meter shot in his canon of cutaways, no doubt we'll see it soon next time some girl starts to take off some clothes. :rolleyes: |

What was the deal with that meter shot? I backed it up and replayed it several times thinking I must be missing something. Does ANYONE at HTV actually review and approve these shows after they are edited? HTV has so much potential if they would just get a skilled editor who knows his/her stuff. HTV could use this forum as a great sounding board but I guess they think we're just a bunch of whiny complainers that are never satisfied.
Where are all the classic E! shows we have been asking for since last March? Where are the Vegas Shows? I'm not canceling but the past four weeks have been the worst HTV content period since the re-launch last March. |

I don't think this interview was boring at all. I enjoyed hearing it on Sirius & hoped that's what they would show for the Daily Show. They could have shown that dumb broad Haiden, which would have been a better visual, but I found this much more entertaining & funny. |

How come when I type Haiden with a Y instead of an i it shows up as SCAT Lover? ie. Hayden (<typed Haiden with a Y) |

Why oh why didn't they put up that hot 18 yr old, Haydn is beyond me. I noticed they trimmed out the reference to her in the fitty cent interview. I hope that's not a sign that we won't be seeing her full show On Demand...and real soon.
They could easily have shown all three segments since each were only about 30 minutes or so.
Haydn - 30 min.
Rodman - 35 min.
Fitty Cent - 40 min. |

Because they're too busy putting together the next boring special. Maybe Sal visits the easter bunny this year and has to act as if he's really scared of it? Or maybe there will be a valentine special with bigfoot doing nothing for 35 minutes? |

I didn't think about it like that. You're probably right- the third show of the year was the 50 cent interview. :mad: ...which I thought was a great interview, even though I don't really like 50 cent, but that's what's so cool about the show.
I don't mind interviews as the daily show.... but can't they also just include a half hour of staff stuff? Doug forgets that there's ALWAYS a big star on..... HOWARD!! |

| It's funny, since I cancelled the shows are finally being updated and are better. I'm still leaning towards keeping my cancellation, as I think this is a mirage. But if they can keep with what they're doing for a whole month then I will reconsider. |
