I have looked all over, forgive me if this is a repeat post.

I am new-car shopping and some of the brands of car we really want (Acura for example) don't have a Sirius option but come with XM standard in the in-dash radio.

I remember Howard's boy Richie calling in talking about a 'brain box' you can have put in the glove such that you can run sirius through your in-dash radio. All I've found online are refs to a device for GM cars that do this. Is there a sort of universal translator thing such that I can get Sirius in a non-XM brand car? Will play a role in my auto purchase decision. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

Just saw your post...Sorry I can't help...but I bought a GM truck that came with XM. I let it lapse after the freebie 3 months. I also heard about the converter that will turn the in dash xm unit into a sirius receiver. Do you have any other details on how to purchase the converter? What's it called? Where do you purchase it?

Thanks
