Just been listening to 101.
My guess is that someone might have spilled the oderant people put in natural gas to make it smell. A couple of drops can smell up a whole area, if someon accidentally spilled more, the smell could get all over New York I think.
It is worse than skunk spray, but molecularily very similar. |

That could be. It just came off as really weird when the request was made. He barely knows Bubba. I initially felt that it came off like "Let's tape the spectacle that is a redneck wedding" and that it was being exploited. I guess I just misunderstood and am ultra-sensitive with all the crap that has been posted about Bubba |

You telling me that you don't think Bubba WANTS the attention? I think Bubba is happy as hell that the news and Howard TV are marking out so much that they want to cover the wedding. All the "keep it low key" talk was Bubba being humble. I can't imagine anyone that wouldn't be flattered that Howard wants their wedding on his TV channel. |

The mercaptan deal becomes an ongoing rib on the Wrap-Up show. Many people who have some sort of knowledge in the field call up and tell them the same thing a million times. It should be coming up on 101 soon. I'm guessing no west coast replay today. |

When we had a natural gas break here in Saskatchewan, one of the largest ones ever (32'' diameter, 880 psi) - the pressure did not drop in that line at all (compressors were running 8 miles away). We had to close all the valves to see which one had blown.
Big big fire ball, it was an amazing sight.
No one got hurt. |

I've ripped out the shower and all the tile on the wall. The bathroom is stripped to the studs except for the flooring. I'm looking for solutions on how to remove tile flooring that is on cement backer board. |

The only one I would even guess would have any idea how to do that would be Balloon Knot. I haven't seen him all morning, but you can bet he'll be around later today, if you can catch him. In fact, you might wanna PM him with your dilemma. Hope that helps! |

Not many pictures of that kind of stuff makes the internet. I have some that I'm not supposed to have, i should get them scanned some time - they are amazing. Looks like the surface of the moon.
Before I worked for TCPL - foothills (owned by them) had a 42'' 1440 psi line break. People from 4 hours away could see the fire ball.

If you can see the backer board where the tub used to be, take a crowbar and try to pry up the subfloor. The moving of it will cause the tile joints to fail. Make sure you wear safety glasses, the tile will throw little splinters. They hurt like hell. I remove a bunch of ceramic tile in the Family room. |

MR T, basically no matter what I do I'll need to replace subfloor. Is that right? If that's the case, then I'll bash the $hit out of the tile and take a reciprocating saw to the cement backer board. |
