Wired FM Transmitter - Volume Output Question - Click HERE to go to the original thread with graphics
Dr. T. Sanchez
I recently purchased the cassette adapter for my unit for the car and the volume output & quality is 1000 times louder and better than using the wireless transmitter (Thanks to a prior thread with TSS' suggestion - thanks!!!). I am one of the lucky one's that has cassette/cd/fm factory radio.

My question is this - Is there any volume output difference between using the wireless FM transmitter and if you hook up the wired FM transmitter? The reason I ask is because the unit my wife has (newer unit with reduced transmitter output FCC rquirement) has almost no volume output. The unit itself is all the way up for volume, and even with the stereo cranked the volume output sucks.

Thanks in advance for anyone's assistance!!

Anyone???

Bump to the front page....does anyone know? There seems to be a lot of people that have switched over to the wired FM transmitter. Do you notice a difference in the volume output vs using the wireless transmitter?

Thanks!

i didn't notice any difference. I switched my S50 from the transmitter to the FM Mod about a month ago. Just no static now

I have a 1/8" aux input in one car and wired FM modulator in the the other. Both are lower level than the testicular radio and CD. There is a menu option on my units (Kenwood) to boost the level, but it defaults back to lower level every time is loses power. I just turn the volume up.
