I didn't realize this...I just checked a recent cable bill, and I think I was getting Howard TV for $10.99 a month, not $13.99 like I thought. On the bill for the month of January, it said $10.99. I have Comcast.

I live in Oregon and also have Comcast. When I first signed up 4 months ago, the price was $10.00, but they just raised the rate last month to $10.60. What a small increase! Apparently the suggested retail price is $14.99 but most places offer a discounted rate for the first x number of months.

Does anyone out there pay more than the suggested retail price of $14.99?

Update. New cable bill and the price went up to $15.99. I am calling to cancel.

I was paying $9.99 per month here in Naples, FL. Comcast just raised the price to $10.99. Not a big deal but Comcast updates have been crappy the last 2 months. I just got the whole "Staff Antics" category last week. Almost a month late. Last month it was the "Little Friends" category that was a month behind. Daily shows are posted almost immediately.

It's 13.99 on Time Warner in Ohio. If it was 8 or so I'd buy it, but fuck that. I had it before Comcast was bought out for less than that, but the updates were scarce and repeats were plentiful.

$13.99 Brighthouse Networks in Orlando. For less than the cost of one DVD per month, I get hours of entertainment. So no complaints.

Comcast offered $109/year if you signed up anytime before the March ‘06 launch. I was told that would go to $139 the next time around, but when my renewal came up in November it was $109 again, so I guess my rate is grandfathered in.

$10/month is an promo price and it should be expected to go up according to the FAQ on www.howard.tv. My service started out at $10/month and it now $11/month.
