No it isn't. They are all black marks on the game and should be 4ever banned. Who cares if nobody is elected to the HOF in the next 10 years?
Pussah2
Shoeless Joe jackson- Batted .375 in the World Series "he threw"
http://www.blackbetsy.com/joefacts.htm

Pete Rose-4256 hits. Bet on baseball after he played and never against his team. What about all the cheaters, KKK members, alcoholics and wife beaters in the hall of fame.

mark Mcgwire-Andro was a legal supplement sold over the counter and was not illegal in baseball
elroyjonz
Hey they were all great players, that is not in doubt. One day I'm sure some liberal who doesn't believe in punishment will let them in. McGwire was on more than Andro also. I don't know of any KKK Grand wizards in the Hall, but alcoholics are fine.
The Main Man
Roberto Alomar is one of the best Jays ever. Let him in. Big deal on the spitting thing. The guy spent the entire decade of the 90s on the all star list playing in each game
Pussah2
the guys I highlighted I figure will make it easily
Eyeballs
Tim Raines deserves it but the cocaine shit might fuck up his chances
tommyp
I don't think Alomar is a sure-fire first-ballot inductee. My guess is if he gets in, he'll get in by the skin of his teeth.
Gindaloonatic
Tim Raines, Barry Larkin,Edgar Martinez, & Fred McGriff should be in too.
Pussah2
back to topic, I think it is ridiculous rose and jackson are not in. Both are 2 of the top players in mlb history.
tommyp
The BOLDS are open to debate, too, the way I see the topic.

In addition to Alomar, Bagwell might not be as sure-fire as I once thought he was, either. As soon as the steroid policy started, he also shrunk, was injured frequently, and had to retire (a la McGwire, because of a condition in one of his joints). Those questions still exist, despite repeated denials.
WhiteBoy
I'm starting the Brady Anderson for the Hall 2008 campaign

He never did steroids

He was just in a groove the year he hit 50
WhiteBoy
and yes, Rose and Jackson should get in

I agree with your arguement about McGwire never breaking any rules, but they will use him as an example
mkriss5681
Pete.. yes, but he still a dumb asshole
Shoeless... yes, very little proof he tried to throw it
Mark... no way, he can go fuck himself he can keep his records but if you take steroids you should be barred
jimmyritt33
one problem with Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe, Pussah2. As long as Bud Selig is the commisioner of MLB neither will get reinstated. Selig feels that the "stress" of the whole Pete Rose mess killed Bart Giamatti, one of his best friends. And if he reinstates Shoeless Joe so he can be enshrined he must also allow Pete back in, in Selig's mind. McGwire needs to talk and fess up to a certain degree, then he will get in. Don't forget sportswriters are just as bad if not worse than radio beat writers, they're all a bunch of self righteous, jealous, "it should have been me" pricks. I say the voting process for the Hall of Fame needs to be overhauled and the writers need to be part of the voting process but not the whole vote itself.

I totally agree that all 3 need to be recognized and enshrined.
KingOfAllWhites
McGwire used alot more then just andro. He clearly was a steroids user and had yet to deny it.

If he was only using Andro then I would agree with you, but this guy was using the real juice.

I belive eventually McGwire will get in, but let him sweat it out.

the only thing they got on him that we know of is andro though
KingOfAllWhites
Technically then we have no evidence that Giami, Sheffield and Bonds every used steroids.

However we all know that they are all guilty.

If Big Mac was only using Andro I think he would have had nothing to hide at those congressional meetings, but he clearly did have something to hide.

I am guessing it is Steroids.
Pussah2
baseball did not have a steroid policy either back than.

I hate bonds guts but I think he should go in to. Do we really know who is a steroid user and who is not
KingOfAllWhites
We dont know who is a user except for the names that were leaked from the grand jury.

Those guys should never go. At least while Rose and Jackson are not in the hall.

Even though baseball did not have a steroid rule the US goverment did, and they said steroids were illegal.

It is like what is happening in California with those pot clinics. The State says it is legal but the federal gov't says it is illegal. Guess who wins everytime?
The Main Man
Pete Rose is a visable figure in the game who had a great career and was a solid player. His off-field conduct shouldn't bar recognition that he had talent and was a consistient performer
jerryjr99
I agree there are several players who have been fucked.. They are the ones who deserve to be in the Hall Of Fame
Pussah2
only hitters are being blamed for steroids, what about pitchers. Clemens has been mentioned but what about a Greg Maddux or Tom Glavine or Pedro Martinez
KingOfAllWhites
Only hitters are being blamed because those are the names that were leaked.

Maddux, Glavine and Pedro have never been mentioned in the same sentence as steroids. That is why there is no reason to belive they are guilty. They at least had the brains to stay away from balco. Glavine has never been a power pitcher, so what would steroids do for him? But if you want to start accusing everybody I can start with Mariano Riviera. He comes to my mind first.

I mean do you really think that Giambi did not use steroids either? He never failed a test or admitted it?
Pussah2
I know giambi did it, he is not a hall of famer, with or without it.

the point is no one who knows who did it and it is not right to exclude guys who ar eonly known because of leaked grand jury testimony
KingOfAllWhites
I guess that is where we differ.

I think leaked grand jury testimony PLUS going in front of congress and not denying it should be enough to keep you out of the HOF.

You disagree...

To each their own......
Pussah2
curt schilling would not surprise me if he was on steroids. he went in front of congress. randy johnson would not surprise me either
KingOfAllWhites
I would think that for pitchers Schilling, Johnson and Clemens would be the most obvious pitchers who juice or juiced.
timdawg6
Von Hayes should be in the Hall too
tommyp
Pedro? Glavine?

Steroids?

:burst:
MLBoros72s
100% agree with Shoeless and Pete Rose, but fuck Mark McGwire. He's an asshole who's entire career was built off steroids, he's nothing but a product of steroids. He was a lackluster first baseman and was basically just pure steroid-induced power.
MadMax
Pete Rose 100 % HOF

they should. they earned it, they deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!. but most of these baseball writers that vote are a bunch of fagots who couldn't hit or catch a baseball if their life depended on it. though mark mcguire could be a question mark.

Im going to have to agree with you, all you have to do is look at the vote for Cal Ripken. It still amazes me, so he is a nice guy that means somehow he is a better player, I say bullsit he couldnt hold Tony Gwynn's jock

i hear ya. i loved both players and have both of their rookie cards. caught a foul ball off gwynn's bat at a phillies game. tried to get his autograph, but vet stadium was such a shitty stadium to meet players :D
AZ Marine
If we are talking about Pitchers who may or may not be on Steroids what about Eric Gagne ? He was untouchable then they passed the Steroid testing and they he went to crap real fast. I don't think that he has even completed a whole season since.
JBEEZEE
No Pete, No fuckin' Hall! Cheers to Charlie Hustle, the greatest player in the history of the game. Go Reds! :afs: :pissed: :fu:
Gindaloonatic
:jj: fuckin Von Hayes!!!! hahahahahahaa....
