Well, since the Chargers fucked up last week by losing to the Patriots, I have to go with my second-tier match-up of Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints in the Superbowl. Peyton playing against his father's old team. Colts haven't sniffed a Superbowl in 40 years, and the Saints have always been watching from the television or the stands.
The Bears last week almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against a team that probably had no reason to even be close, and despite the Soldier Field advantage, the Saints are just gonna have too much offense for their solid defense to handle later in the game because they'll be out on the field for much of the game and will tire out.
Patriots and Colts will be a much closer game (will we hear the alleged piped-in willy noise that was rumored a couple years ago) than everyone may think. True, Brady, up to this point, has only suffered one defeat in the playoffs in four-plus post-season appearances. His defense suffered a big blow yesterday when Rodney Harrison was downgraded to OUT. His running backs have been hurt and not as effective, putting more of the game on his arm. He's not a scrambler, so look for him to take some shots from Freeney and company. Peyton's history against the Patriots isn't all that stellar, but he's won twice in the last two years when playing in New England, including a 27-20 victory on November 5. This one is gonna boil down to who has the ball last, and let's not forget Adam Vinatieri. He's beaten the Colts @ RCA more than once while kicking for the Pats.
Again, my picks for SuperBowl XLI are the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints. |

I wish the games weren't so late. I'll catch the first, but I have to sleep before the 2nd ends.

| I am cheering for Chicago and New England today. My Eagles lost to the Saints last week :( . I have nothing against the Colts except one of the guys I work with is a huge Colts fan and I'd never hear the end of it. Especially if they would win the bowl too. As for the other game I cannot cheer for the team that beat mine. I will also be all but convinced that the fix is in if the Saints would win the Super Bowl. Just would seem like too much of a coincidence to me that they were picked to be middle of the road at best at the beginning of the season, the whole coming back from Katrina aspect, and then winning the Super Bowl. Would it be coincidence or not?? |

| As a Cowboys fan its kind of hard to reply to this but I'm rooting for New Orleans today. I actually heard someone call N.O. America's team. Who would of thought it. The Patriots are a great team by all means but I would rather see both NFC teams as a Super Bowl. Just my two cents. |

Of course, they had to bring race into the playoffs. My headlines are nothing but "History making, black coaches, etc.." Who cares what their race is? if they are great coaches, they are great! And they are great!
I'm black, and I'm offended. |

Just came up with another reason why I want to see the Colts vs. Saints in the SuperBowl ...
Peyton (Manning) vs. (Sean) Payton!!!
Modern-day Payton Place! |

Amen to that! As a member of the HUMAN race, I'm appalled that skin tone STILL has to be a topic of discussion for newspapers to sell copies. What is with all this "black and white" stuff lately? |

Like you said, it sells copies. No one cares what their race is. No one even noticed.
I'm white, and i'm offended. |
