Last week the Kenwood Tuner (KTC-901) unit in my truck started to display the dreaded Acquiring Signal message after about 15 to 20 min of use. Seemed to be overheating. My wife had the same tuner in her car and we cancelled service when she got a Streamer GTR about a year ago.
So I take her old tuner and install it in my truck thinking I'd have to call Sirius and reactivate. After the install I turn it on to the preview channel and it works - no Acquiring Signal message.
The strange part is all of the other channels work too! Didn't expect that one.
Will call and switch tuners in their computer if I have to, but for now that frigging Acquiring Signal message has been banished from my dashboard. Woo Hooo !!! |
