Bubba I was reading Heather's blog but reconsider the camera. You may only be spending a few days out here in wild west Az, but the mountain views are awesome. Bring the video camera. So much to look at and take in. Here is a start. Tucson whether partly cloudy up to 71 on Saturday. http://www.wunderground.com/US/AZ/Tucson.html

I've got reptile friends down there also.

The most successful monitor lizard breeder lives down there. I am actually planning a trip with a friend from up here, but first have to get a camera again.

 Great pic, just wondering about camera, etc. I'm from the east coast originally, and the one thing I sell to everyone coming to visit is the sunsets here in the desert.

The Az desert sunset in my opinion is one of the best. The northern folks will disagree as they should because its a different perspective. Here are a few more.

Yeah.....saguaro with that light is insane. If by northern you mean northern AZ, it's a different landscape, so perceptions are different. Either way, it ALL beats NJ sunsets. :D

Mr.Tucson
It totally is a differant perspective of the country. Everything out here had fangs, stingers or spines! ;)

The Sonora Desert Museum would be my pick. Not sure if they still have it, but the walk-in aviary with all of the hummingbirds is just amazing. I've only been to Tucson 3 times, but I went there all three trips.

It's still there Butler, the just increased the size of it about a year ago. The summer is a great time, when all the bats are flying around, they open at night and the people there use dog whistles and call them in a feed them. Pretty cool.
azkellie
It's such a beautiful place here. It's not all dust, dirt, and tumbleweeds :D

And yes, we do have some water

I feel bad that I've been stationed here in Tucson for almost two years and haven't done a whole lot of sight seeing. The desert museum and tombstone are about the only two places i've been to. Tombstone was cool but myself and my family that was visiting really enjoyed the desert museum. It shows there's a lot of interesting creatures out here. I'm from Texas but Arizona is definitely a beautiful place.

Catdr your 100% correct.... Im down here in SE Arizona southeast of Tucson in the big city Sierra Vista AKA Sorry Vista... Bubba should come down here for a day. YEA RIGHT maybe check out Tombstone and Bisbee yea he could spend 1/2 hour in Bisbee and be able to have enough things to talk about to fill a weeks worth of shows. (the weirdos and shit) he could go look at the big hole in the ground there, or spend a day in Tombstone!!! Tucson has so much more to do and see than down here!!!

Talked with Bubba earlier, I think he's gonna take a shit on the deal tomorrow. Didn't sound like he was too impressed with Tucson (the city, not the people).

Can't say I blame him.
