Bubba live on Friday mornings!!!! :r4: :r2: :bannana2: :punk:

Howard just made the announcement!
irish_na
That means he should be doing it anytime now on 101
NedsWeed
Is this Project K-10?
irish_na
yep!

I'm quite certain I'm a minority opinion on this. Are the boys gonna be able to do a quality show eleven hours after they sign off on Thursday evenings?? What are the odds that Ned won't be able to get his wrinkled ass out of bed until the show's halfway through the third hour? Perhaps this may be a sign of things to come (the usual talk of Howard's succession), but I just don't agree with this move. I think the quality will suffer because the guys are gonna be tired, plain and simple.

what time does Bubba start?

He still has his afternoon live timeslot of 3pm-7pm M-Th, but starting next Friday (Feb 23), he'll have the morning slot 6am-10am on H101 and the afternoon slot will be a repeat of the morning show. Just in case you're looking for a show of his today or this weekend, he's been pre-empted by the 25 years of Stern music special that'll be running starting @ 3pm and playing all weekend long on H101.

Bubba's usually up early anyway. It might be alittle rough at first, but they might actually enjoy starting the weekend early by doing a morning show. As far as Ned, well maybe they can hook up an ISD line or whatever it is :D

Now we gotta plug that old fart in too?!?! Well, if that's the case, I guess we better make it an IV-drip ... :D

Bubba's up early, but that's literally only eleven hours between shows. I hope the guys prove me wrong with this -- just expressing my genuine concern.

Hey we're all gettin older. Wont be long before we're all on IV drips. Just make sure mines with vodka, please :D

I think we all share the same concern. I remember when I used to waitress, working till midnight, then back to open at 6am. Sucked at first, but being able to start my weekend by 10am made up for it. Just takes alittle dicipline and routine. I think they'll do just fine! Keep positive thoughts brotha! ;)

I can at least say this ... I'm certain that it wasn't something that was thrust upon the guys without a lot of consideration. It certainly will help their family lives grow since they'll have more time with them. They've all faced adversity in the past, and this is just a speedbump. I look forward to the guys proving my concerns totally unjustified (but I still care about them as if they were part of my family).

Isn't it great hearing Bubba live so early in the day? I'm glad that they decided to let him broadcast this morning.

I don't believe that they just did that on the radio...Bubba is gonna get fired on his first morning drive...

When does Bubba start? I heard the Mastersuck theatre on the way to work this morning

i'm gonna pull a good old fashioined flip flop. I first liked the decision, and now the more I think about it, the less I like it. I love Bubba right where he is in the 3-7PM slot. when Howard announced his channels he talked about all of this original content he would be rolling out (for the most part he has) But to have no live content for almost 24 hours is no good in my book. the only way I am remotely ok with this is if this opens the door for a Bubba raise and contract renewal til the end of Howards. I also think that Bubba's show might suffer slightly because of finishing Thursday's at 7PM and then being on the air at 6 AM on Firday. I know it's not working construction or other physically tough jobs, but at some time he might wear out. Like Howard always says doing talk radio isn't as easy as it appears.

This is f'n great! I get bored of the old rebroadcasts of Howard on Friday mornings. Now we will have some new fresh shows to listen to on Friday. Next Friday should be interesting.

101, but I thought I heard someone mention yesterday that Bubba will start at 9 EST. I'm not sure if that sounds right though

I for one am glad Bubba is doing Friday mornings, that master tape theater shit sucks.I liked Howards old stuff when it was new,but not now that it is old.Ned will be alright 2 lines and a joint and he will be just fine. :kickass:
Vmisceo
Good move master shit theatre sucks I want options! now I got em......Beautiful

Not to be too much of a bitch, but is it too much to ask for a full-live Friday? I've become a Bubba Fan and I'll be glad to have a live and topical morning, but that leaves me with the option of mastertape theater, replay of what I just listened to on Bubba, or one of the music stations to carry me through until the end of work. Wouldn't it be nice to have some sort of lineup that starts the day saying "congrats you made it through another week" and sustains you until they can say "welcome to your weekend"? As it is now, You get to hear the howard crew talking about what plans they have for the weekend and what a great week it's been and you realize that you still have one more sucky workday to go.
I don't know if any of you will be familiar with this, but I grew up around New Haven, CT. There's a classic rock station there 99.1 WPLR. Every Friday (for at least 20 years) at 5PM they have a person named "The Wigmaster" come on and do the "Friday Wig-Out". The "Wig-Out" id generaly a monolouge which examine the weeks events and, in it's golden age, dealt with the eternal struggle of the "worker bees" vs. the "lizard bosses" in a quest to reach the "almighty weekend". The pace of the speech would become more and more feverish until it crescendoed(sp?) starting with the words "you have..." into at least a minute of rapid fired repitition of the word "gotta" till it sounded like a mad turkey on meth and ending with a shout of "WIIIIIGGGGGG-OUUTTTTTT" straitght into the power chords of some heavy metal band. It was like the gates to that almighty weekend had opened and all I had to do was step through into happiness.

This is the perfect solution for Fridays. Before the big announcement, Fridays sucked out loud. The "Master Tape Theater" deal just wasn't cutting it
VanCitySternFan
Yeah it is great to hear bubba live but everyone hates on the Master Tape theatre too much,

For a west coast Canadian fan, it's great to hear old shit.

i think its great!!! and i too think its a sigh of whats to come after the great howard retires
Apoc13
thanks bubba....mtt blows
Hugh G Wrekshin
Yeah, if you switch channels during a commercial on Fridays you hear the same shit you just heard a half hour ago. It's not 3 hours off-set like the live shows.

BTLS in the morning is a great idea!

THis is bullshit, plain and simple. Bubba works better in Afternoon Drive (East), and quite frankly, I LIKE MASTERTAPE THEATRE.

What the fuck. Less Howard? Double Bubba? I'll keep listening to my replays over the weekend, thanks.

Shitty.... completely and totally shitty.

I am particularly ecstatic about Bubba's first Friday show! I'm very happy. VERY. For personal, selfish reasons.

Do these people not realize that Bubba was a morning mainstay in Tampa for over 10 years. The afternoon slot is new for him he hasn't done afternoon evenings since the Power Pig days. At 98 Rock he had to do 2 weekend charitable shows a year, afternoonish time slots. He never seemed to like working that late.

The quality of the show will not drop the cast became what they are by starting their show at 6am. Only difference now is Bubba, Brent and Spice have to fight the early morning 275 and Ned and Manson have a nice new toll highway to zip down and sleep in later.
DICKWAD
We already had Bubba, now what do we listen to in the afternoon? MTT? Bad call! How about some more content. The whole problem with MTT is it was only 2 hours long and replayed all day.
Bubba is special, his show has energy. it seems he's motivated, they are funny just being themselves, it's obvious Howard is on auto pilot these days. richard and sal, depace, boring phoney phone calls.Artie stories.
okiedave
We shall see how it works. I will actually like to hear Bubba on Friday mornings. It will be perfect in the spring as my friends and I take off at noon on Fridays so I won't miss anything except MTT. I always wondered what was going on last year on Fridays during out match. Give it hell Bubba!
Double Rattler
Listen to your damn MTT on 100 then just catch the BUBBA replay at 3 in the afternoon. Fuckers bitch bitch bitch.

Fuck this place I'm outta here.
Bearmanrulez
This is awesome but they should put bubba on 100 live, this would give him slightly more exposure then replay it at 3 on 101 with master shwag theater following bubba at 10. and to save you west coasters start master shwag theater at 9 on 101 after ferrell replay. that way you west coasters get bubba when you are used to him. complex enough? well then your the retard my friend. BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE IS THE HARDEST WORKER ON SIRIUS! NO ONE DOES MORE LIVE AND ORIGINAL CONTENT! I SIGNED UP FOR HOWARD I'M STAYING FOR BUBBA! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!
