Johnny Boy
Why don't they give us full shows?

Let's say They have Jenna Jameson and Dennis Hopper as guests in the same day. They'll show 55 minutes of Jenna's appearance but show NONE of Hopper's. Then 2 months later they'll air the Dennis Hopper's appearance in the "favorite guests" section.

What the hell, what's so hard about giving us the entire show? Or at least a majority of it.

Howard TV has an agreement with Sirius where they can only air so much from each days radio show on Howard TV. Otherwise people would have no need to sign up for both Sirius and HTV. They could just choose one or the other.

You're just guessing, dude. Where's the proof?

There have been many threads about this issue.
Do some research and find the proof yourself.

If you're gonna state it as fact, then provide the proof yourself. And I'm responding to your post why should I go searching?

It is common sense, but it was also mentioned in some of the early articles about the deal. Some people criticized Sirius for allowing their exclusive content to go out on another medium and not getting any compensation for it, and they defended themselves by pointing out that there would be limits. There was also an interview with Rob Jacobson from In Demand where he implied the limit was 90 minutes, and based on the actual practice that seems to bear out. The only Daily Show that has ever been more than 90 minutes was the Gary Roast, and an exception was probably allowed since that show went out for free over the internet anyway.

Of course, we've seen that more footage can be used from the same day later on, so that eventually there is more than 90 minutes drawn from a day's show. It's pretty obvious to conclude that there would be some kind of waiting period before they can cross that threshold or the limit would be useless. This is supported both by the fact that these "extra" segments always turn up a month or more later, as well as certain comments by Doug on the air.

Please provide links to these articles if you can.

Whether it's common sense or not, i would like to see in print someone from On Demand saying that shows can only be XX minutes and other content from that day cannot go up for at least a month. I've heard every show on Sirius and I don't believe Doug has specifically said this. He's lied about a lot of things regarding On Demand but nothing about this.

Wow, OCD much?

They've discussed this on the air. Both before and after coming to Sirius. VIP's and Sirius employees have also talked about this here on SFN.

So, you missed it. What is this a court of law where people can't just make a statement without bringing out the plastic baggies of evidence? Just look it up. It's spelled G O O G L E.

Just show me one damn post here from Doug or anyone at Sirius that backs this up. I've tried searching and it's impossible to find anything.

Jesus, I don't know. We're talking about a year to a year and a half ago for most of it, and some were in news articles that probably aren't even online anymore. There wasn't ever any one place where it was spelled out from A-Z, but there were numerous things in various articles, mentions on the air, and posts here that all support the same picture. Anyway, the reality is that they DO in actual practice limit the Daily shows to under 90 minutes and there IS a period of time before additional footage shows up, so what does it matter?
skyofcrack
dropping it.

I wouldn't be giving skyofcrack shit for wanting to see some sort of article confirming the amount of time HTV is allowed to use each day off of each Sirius show. This guy is the biggest contributor to this forum I've seen, with his work on the 'Missing Sirius material not on HTV' thread. He takes time every day to update & edit the list of shows, using up time I couldn't imagine doing. If someone is kind enough to go through all that trouble for us, I totallly understand him wanting to see a confirmation of whether or not the company is allowed to broadcast the shows. For some asshole to mistake his kindness for OCD is absurd.

Eitherway, I applaud his work & effort for us all. :bigclap:

Thanks for your words, tm. :)
