I know a guy or two... but it'll cost you. Trust me, thats what the cash is about. I'm not the kind of guy to lead you onto getting a 1% avatar then take your money and haul ass.
(Just ask someone who makes avatars regularly... i'm sure someone could whip one up for you.) |

Just ask any of us that know how to do animations (if that's your preference). If you've been following things since late-October, you probably understand the 1% concept -- it's basically an ongoing rib on Brent that has been adopted by many of the Darkside faithful that have ponied up money to support (such as you).
If you have something that you'd like to appear for the AV, just throw out some ideas of what you want, and one of us will try to accommodate your request (D-Rob's work is most-prevelant here, but he may be busy for a while since he's in the process of moving). |

I've done a couple, but as I stated above, D-Rob's work is the most prevelant on the Darkside. |

No, the 1% is in reference to a statement Brent made last year about SFN'ers making up 1% of the fanbase while the other 99% are out working on paying jobs. I don't remember exactly how it all went down, but most of the Darksiders that had Supporter status at that time got together and created a bunch of 1% AVs to rib the shit out of Brent (the initial creations went online around November 1, if memory serves me correct). Perhaps someone a little more in-the-know can either fill in the blanks or correct me if my information is not entirely accurate, but that's the general jist. |

| Wondering if anyone could help me out here with an avatar. d-rob had made me something but i am not exactly computer smart so all i have left is a red x. Just looking for a 1% with the new air force logo. Googled it and it is definitely easy to find. If you want to have fun with it be my guest. The first word that comes to mind is chairforce. Thanks in advance. |

Not a dumb question at all -- the only dumb question is the one that's not asked (so I've been told anyway). That being said, the internet basically uses two different graphics formats for webpages -- JPG and GIF. Most of the color-rich pictures (like pics of Bubba, for instance) are in JPG format because it supports up to 1 million colors. GIF files are limited to 256 colors but are capable of being saved as multi-framed files (i.e. animations). It's just a matter of having a program that can create and edit GIF animations. BK uses ULEAD GIF Animator. I use Animation Shop (previously from Jasc, now Corel) and also Adobe Illustrator (part of the Photoshop suite). I know of someone else (don't remember who) that uses the Microsoft GIF Animator that, at one time, came with the Frontpage suite (don't know if it still does or not).
