| I might get flamed but I would actually like O&A but everytime I listened they couldn't go a show with out bashing Howard. It made feel kinda uncomfortable listing knowing how lame it is they devote so much of their to being jealous of Howard. Now they are bashing Bubba who I have really never said anything about them. A little on-air bashing is funny but when you devote 20 minutes of every show it's pretty sad. We are going to get a lot of O&A fans listen to Stern on the replays or Bubba after their show and learn they are full of shit and what a quality station H101 is. |

we get alot of O&A talk here at SFN and they are always talking about Howard so it's in my best interest to know a little about them. these O&A peopel would always come here talking shit and I was cluess as to what they were ranting about. for the longest time, I couldn't even hear them. they were on in NY and i didn't know crap about them. People sent me some clips but they told me nothing. when O&A were on in philly before they got fired, I listened and the show grew on me. I only listened for about a year but I enjoyed it. then they got fired.
after the firing and their long break, they sucked. their XM show was shit. i tried listening many times. they got a crap deal with XM and were not successful on it. the fans didn't follow them. maybe if they didn't have that 3 year break they'd have done better but regardless, nobody was singing their praises. they sounded beaten and miserable.
I've completely lost any taste for them. It's unlistenable. I try them every now & then on a friday and can't get thru a show. now that they are back on FM, they are better than when on XM but nothing like they were before the firing. maybe they feel a little pride now. whatever it is, they are on the way back up.
getting back on FM was a huge move for them and that's probably where they'll stay after the merger. I certainly don't think they'd get canned. talent is talent and i'm sure mel would be happy to have have them be part of the team. they probably wouldn't get thier own channel since there will be so much rearranging, but I'm sure they'd find a home on the dial. maybe even on howard 101. problem is, i don't think Mell will go for this half day on FM bullshit. if I had to guess, i'd say he gives them an us or them ultimatum. given the choice, they are sure to go with FM. they have a great contract with them and they are their #1 guys. they could stay there and be on top or leave there, make less, and have to be Howard's boys. it's obvious which way they'd go. hell, it would refuel their show and be the best thing that ever happened to them. they can tell everyone how they told Howard & Mel to fuck off and be the heros of FM radio. they never want to be here.
now if they fucked up and got in trouble at free fm, we might just see them on our dial. man that would be funny. |

They attacked her looks and still bring up the Z100 incident as a way to get to Howard

They admitted to bringing up about Howards daughter being rushed to emergency room, then being brought into Mel's office to which he said something to effect of "DO YOU GUYS LIKE FUCKING ME?" Thats their claim to being censored/muzzled by Howard.

The "pests" are worse and I've seen pictures of signs they held up at the last day rally mentioning Allison. From my understanding the "gag" that was placed on them was so they couldn't talk about Howard's family. Pests swarm sites like orbitcast.com and get really personal with their attacks on Howard, his family, and even Beth.

I tried to get into it but found myself being bored every time I tuned in. | I am not a fan of O & A at all, when they first came to Cleveland i tried to give them a listen but it was hard to get use too, the show is all unorganized and like a shit college radio show. They kind of grew on me after awhile than they got canned for the whole church thing and that was the end of them for me. As much as i would hate to see them stick around after the merger i think it would be so damn funny to have to hear them always plug the O & A show on Howard 101 :jj: |

I don't think Howard wants this brought up. O & A made public info that they obtained improperly that they had no right to make public. That info hurt Howard and his family at the worst time in his life.

Good to hear such an honest and unbiased opinion from someone so tight with Howard.
Fact is, they are talented. As talented as Howard or Bubba? Probably not.
That said, If the next book shows any improvement in their ratings, they will be worth a hell of a lot more to FM than satellite. Their niche is filled on Sirius/XM. While they might make a good addition to the lineup (radio wars aside), they won't get paid nearly as much as they think they are worth. |

Let me preface this by saying I'm a fan of all show personalities involved. I drive a truck for a living and have subs with both companies. O+A already have their own channel at XM, so all that would probably happen is the entire channel would add to the Sirius platform until a merger is complete. Scottm1965, They bring in far more listeners than 10,000. They just resigned recently with XM until 2010, so I would guess they will be around for a while, and the FreeFM deal is essentially a rental of services contract, so unless they got released completely from XM, I would doubt that the FM only thing has any legs.
I know that the best schedule of radio used to be Howard in the AM, then 102.7 for the rest of the day. I would love to see something like that come back so that I can listen live to all the shows, instead of catching one or the other on replay every day. |

I'm listening to O&A's replay right now and for some reason they remind me of Ed Tyll, who did overnights in Chicago on WLUP-AM about a hundred years ago. I've had Sirius for over a year in my car and have been listening to Bubba since last May or so but I only managed to catch the first twenty minutes or so of Howard's show in the morning on the drive in to work. And it was listening to O&A on WCKG that led me to buy a portable Sirius receiver that I could move from one truck to another so I could listen to Howard's entire show while I'm working.

I didn't know anything about them until I came here. The only funny clip I've come across is one where they are ripping on Tom Leykis and one of them (don't know which) does a funny impression of Tom.
Then, Pat Cooper appeared on their show ripping on Howard. You can listen to some clips of that show in my old thread here.
I also downloaded their show when Joe Rogan came on AFTER he stopped doing Howard because I was curious to hear what Joe had to say.
Otherwise, they sound just like Mutt says: beaten and miserable. |

over the years i've occasionally listened to an o&a show for whatever reason, and it's just insane how much time they spend bitching about howard. and it's not even funny, it's just bitter and angry.
i've been reading the wackbag forum since the merger announcement and it's funny how all those twerps think stern and o&a are engaged in some war, like howard spends every waking moment focused on them and how he's going to eradicate them from radio. they're so rarely mentioned on the show.. if only they knew how insignificant they really are~ |

| until recent, here in chicago we didn't have O&A (thank god).listened to them 2 times on the way to work ( i have a sirius unit @ home and work)....... they are SO fucking shitty, i have to listen to johnny B, or 780 AM news....... when your program is SO shitty, that listening to johnny brandmeir is an UPGRADE.......... might be time for those 2 idiots to, find a new job. |

They think OnA has more subs & Howard bombed on SatRad
I guess the fact that once OnA went to FreeFM & that did NOTHING to help XM in subs while Siri has kicked their ass in Subs since Howard has gone unnoticed |

According to Wikipedia, O&A's contract with XM was extended until 2010. So even if they are thrown off the air, they'll still get paid, which sucks |
