Considering how Bubba had to work/struggle to get where he is today, with this merger and all the bashing of our people that they do, is it really fair for O&A to just be brought in and lumped together by corporate as an equal to our on-air personalities.
If they are allowed to keep their jobs, would it not be fair to people like Bubba if they were forced to do overnight shows, instead of letting them do afternoon or morning drivetime? |

| Hate to say it but I'll take O&A over the worthless Howard News and their 'breaking reports' at noon, anything... please god ANYTHING. |

I think the news it good. But also it's good it doesn't last more than a big period of time. You can't compare a 30 second spot to a few hour radio show because the time is not equal. |

Obviously some people don't appreciate the subtle humor of the News.
whatever.
I don't care about Ass & Hole - they can stay on the "XM" channel they live on now as well as crap radio and I will never tune in.
I'm happy they are giving Bubba free publicity. watch out for the new listeners that will result. :hw: |

As far as their keeping their jobs, they should. I think the merger is sirius absorbing xm. If that's the case then they should get the unoccupied shifts, like midnights to 3am, because they suck. Thank God that 102.7fm dumped their ass. |

Wouldn't listen to a second of those two douche bags.
Looking at their ratings on Free FM, I'm not alone. |

| i listened to a best of from O&A (my wife has XM in her car) over the holidays and I was itching to get my car back so I could listen to Howard and/or Bubba. They weren't horrible, they were just, well they were horrible. |

It wont happen-they want good shows and good talent not some fucking no talent hacks. Imus has more value than them |

| The Virus 202 will most likely keep their current lineup of O+A and Ron and Fez, with replays throughout the day. During the merger press conference they continually stressed that the new setup will be about having more choices. Expect all to continue as it is now with just a large influx of channels for both platforms until one complete platform can be put together. The only thing that scares me about all this is Bubba renegotiating his deal at the end of the year. Sirius/XM can play a little harder against him come contract time because they will feel that "being the only game in town" can allow them to pay less. |

I'd pay infinite amount of dollars to not hear anything else about the "merger-that's-not-even-going-to-happen."

| Why does everyone think o+a are gonna be on Howards channels? Who knows what's gonna happen. They wil probably just organize the channels/lump both sytems together so they may be close in number but not run by Howard |

It is the opposite. Karmazin and Mel, at the least, want to make O & A their bitches so once you hire Bubba back, O & A are expendable, which is what Howard and Mel will set up.
O & A know this which is why they are now attacking Bubba. |
|

| I am sure it will help Bubba. He's got some real momentum, and O and A wouldn't talk about him if they knew he wasn't better. This should get exciting, Rock out with your cock out Bubba! |

Oral and Anal show suck real bad.
They have dealt some damage to Howard which cannot be repaired.
Careful when you demolish a bridge....you might get bought out...know what I mean?? |

rackrunner said it best.
O&A's XM channel has it's own schedule with O&A live shows, R&F live shows, replays, even a live show on Saturdays. There'd be no reason for them to go to a Howard channel, and if there was, what would you cut? West coast feeds? And whatever the hell XM 202 has live on Saturdays is a whole other can of worms.
If they were to continue on satellite, they'd have to keep their scheduling lineup intact on their own channel. However, it sounds like XM is being bought out, so perhaps their contract with XM would essentially terminate when/if XM goes under.
Here's how I see the new lineup:
1-99
Music, grouped by pop, rock, rap, electronic, jazz, etc.
100-105
Adult. Two channels of Howard, one of O&A (if their channel comes over), one for Playboy, the GLBT channel, etc. They're easy to find, yet hidden by "safe" channels. My new radio has a buffer (channel 0) between the pop channel and Playboy, and this would achieve the same lineup.
Hell, there's an extra channel. Maybe O&A would want something similar to what Howard has with the west coast feed and extra programming on one channel with replays all day long on the other channel? Or it could be used for future expansion.
106-110
Comedy. Blue Collar, Adult, Family, etc.
111-whatever.
TV simulcasts. CNN, Fox, MSNBC, ESPN News, C-Span, etc.
190-199. Channels devoted to sports talk shows, etc.
Then you'd have the channels dedicated to PbP of sports.
200-220. College sports
221-245. Baseball and NHL
250-265. NBA and NFL
270-28X. NASCAR
It might be possible for channel sharing to occur, similar to what happens if you have Center Ice, Extra Innings, or whatever on digital cable. Even though your Center Ice channels are differently numbered from your MLB channels, it's still the same bandwith.
Most NFL games are on Sunday afternoons when there really aren't a whole lot of NBA games, so once again, these channels might be able to share.
One advantage that XM DOES have is their baseball channels are just for baseball PbP. Channels on Sirius interrupt regular programming for sports. I think it might be in the best interest of a combined service to borrow a page from XM's book for sports programming and that's what I did above. |

after all of this o& A bullshit......... on the way into my office today, me and a buddy were talking about them............ so we put them on in chicago here, ........ besides the fact, that we LITERALLY couldnt listen for more than 3-4 minutes....
with all the BRN weight challenge, and stern setting up the artie weight loss thing....
guess what these fuckfaces were doing.............. weighing each other in the studio, too fucking funny..... blatent rip off; jerk off's.....
there was a funny video, on either you tube, or google video, i saw like a year ago, and it had one of the O&A jerk offs ( the one who looks like an unwashed arab)IN STERNS STUDIO, from the k-rock days, imatating jackie puppet.... and talking about how he was such a HUGE fan, and he worshipped stern, ect.
if someone has that vid, or link .......... can you please post it, so EVERYONE can fucking goof on these assholes, even more. |

most of us agree in our despisal of O and A. but when the merger happens there will be zero chance they'll be on Howard 100 or 101. I would think they'd be put on the Sirius Stars channel or whatever the new name of the channel will be.
I think this merger can only be bad for Bubba. he has little leverage in negotiating for more money. I think if he wants to stay at Sirius it'll be for the same money. so it'll come down to a hard choice for Bubba, continue his uncensored Sirius show or go back to censored terrestrial radio. |

| FTEBubbaStern, thanks for the words. One correction regarding the channel lineups though, as it sits now XM and Sirius are limited to 256 streams of channels, so there may be some overlap/further trimming required as far as the sports and music stations go. XM has more stations currently and they are already having sound quality issues when all the baseball games are going. |

| I honestly tried to listen to those two fags a couple of years ago before I got Sirius and and couldn't even force myself to laugh. They aren't even worth being liquid ass wiped off the floor. Bubba and crew shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as those two worthless fucks! Desperate, desperate bitches |

This merger is guaranteeing top entertainment from all on air talent. It will be like FM was before satellite, the shows will be competing for ratings against each other within the realm of Sat. radio. O&A, even though I have never heard then will do their thing and Howard and Bubba will do theirs. The ratings will decide who gets shit on and I'm guessing it will be the no talent, rip off artists O&A.
Buy an original act boys! |
