the weekend was great! I got a chance to see the Moon eclipsed - with a nice maroon blush over it's face!
And it wasn't horribly cold out!
my friends and i kept going outside to check the progress of the moon's position - because of where we are (NY) we only got to see the end part. that is, after it was covered and was about to be uncovered. but, heck! I love it all! |

Yeah, here out west it was very cloudy so it was pretty impossible for us to see the eclipse. Also they said that the west coast wasn't the best place to see it anyway...but when the next one comes around, the west coast is the place to be...apparently. |

All of the US will be good viewing for the next one but you should have a great view in CA - I hope the skies are clear that night!!!

Yeah it did...totally killed the Oilers...fire Lowe, hire Messier...I'm sure that's being screamed on some Edmonton stations right now. Just be lucky nobody is hollering for Pocklington to come back. |

I'm hoping it is a temporary deal with Smyth, there's a lot of talk here that they agreed to let him go to the Isles, and when he becomes a free agent the Oilers are gonna sign him back. might just be a lot of wishful thinkers tho....... :(
Smyth isn't the most talented guy in the league, shit, he's not even top 20. but the kid has heart, and takes a lot of abuse in his "office". he is a genuine nice guy and a local kid, he will always be popular here, and NEVER get booed at Rexall Place.....like that little fag Comrie. |

Yeah, getting him back will be tough...if he still wants the same $, I can't how a few months will make a difference.

Cabbie raised his visibility at KQRS, as a resilient street reporter who supposedly took some listeners on a tour of the city's crack market. Ever pressured to be outrageous, Cabbie did a "remote report" in which he knocked on NFL star Brett Favre's hotel room door when the NFL's Green Bay Packers were in town for a Monday night game. Cabbie intended to offer Favre some Vicodin and a six-pack of beer, but instead discovered the quarterback with a naked female who was not his wife. The report ended abruptly, but the press contacted the station for further information. Cabbie was forced into hiding, but eventually admitted that the story was completely fabricated. With his credibility shattered, Mroszak was fired by KQRS on December 3, 1997, and the station was sued by Favre.
Cabbie was not forgotten by old friend Cane from his 93.7 The Edge days. Cane brought Cabbie to 92.3 K-Rock (WXRK) New York to produce his popular afternoon show. Cabbie used his newfound notoriety to appear on The Howard Stern Show. |

those are amazing pictures!! the one striking the bridge is neat. I have a few that I've taken, I set up my Sony Handycam, and let it record during a thunderstorm, then take stills from the tape. this one struck maybe 100 yards behind my house, the sound was deafening!! awesome.....:tu: |
