I've never seen this movie... I was familiar that every global warming denialist has been screaming about the inaccuracies in it and the political angles of it.
And I don't know if it's the weed..... but he makes some REAL good arguements!
And from many, many, many angles. Consequences, possible causes, warming and cooling trends over time... fucking amazing.
I mean, you may agree with it and you may say he's just an alarmist, but fuck he's got some research behind this shit
Fuck... I'm high :joint: |

...If you're watching it on ShowTime, there's an additional 40 min. afterwards with Al updating events of the past year (since completion of the film).
I like when he compares the Oil/Gas Lobby, and what they are doing today, to the Tobacco Lobby back when it was denying the science about smoking and cancer.
I just rolled up some bubble-kush myself... :weed:

HAHAH Heya Fdubya... up late too huh? Yeah, I'm gonna watch the update now too.... these bong rips are tearing me up man...
Anyhow, the movie (science fiction or not) was extremely well written.... even after all the crappy shit he explains could happen, it's very uplifting and positive when he shows how we already can change it and how
I don't know, like I said, I might just be high as fuck, but everything seemed rational...... |

| I'm rolling a blunt right now. What channel is it on? Maybe I can catch it on the west coast. |

| You can watch it on Showtime on demand if you have it. I'm on the east coast but my west coast show time feed doesn't have it. The on demand didn't show the extra commentary that followed the film earlier tonight. |

It is a reference from a South Park episode that featured Al Gore hunting for a fictitious threat to society called "Manbearpig."
Half man, half bear, half pig, as the show states. |

Yeah... I take it you don't watch South Park Halcyon?
It was kind of a tongue in cheek joke... about what an "alarmist" Al Gore is. |
|
|
| Halcyon |
*shrug* No... I don't watch South Park
And anyway, I was just saying he made a lot of good points... sure it seems extreme, but the it was very well written and it gets you thinking.
But apparently even entertaining the notion that humans might have some effect on our planet, simply because there's well over 6 billion of us already, is a chicken little outlook on life.
 |

Pretending you were born in 1980 when you were born in the 60's so you can try and fool little kids into having sex with you while you post about the absolute hypocritical nature, is in itself, hypocritical. just sayin faggot! :hw: |

yeah, I have been on both sides of the global warming fence, which at this time, I am still on the fence, I do lean torward the al gore side, especially since it is the safe side....
that is a very convincing film, it changed my mind from denial to acceptance. |

Why are you such a chicken little global alarmist!?
Why do you hate America!?
Honestly, it was very well written. Gore seemed to have had a LOT of research done. You can argue that this was a completely political biased film, but it seems to preach caution and research and knowledge, not political agenda or extremist or radical changes.
The possible outcomes for our planet might seem extreme but the idea of more (unbiased) research and more knowledge seemed reasonable.
Anyway, fuck all you haters, I could care less. I don't subscribe to everything Gore says either, but the movie was well written, and it certainly begs a lot of questions that I think we should take a real hard look at.
And that's the problem with Global Warming... everyone so fucking blinded by politics that we can't honestly take a REAL truthful look into this potential issue |

Yeah...
I still haven't seen the Al Gore movie... but I will at some point.
And to me it's common sense... people pretending that emitting toxic gasses into the air has no effect on the atmosphere is like saying your wife getting fucked on the regular by a well hung brotha will not stretch her vagina out... it just doesn't make any sense... but then again neither does 90% of the bullshit this administration pushes and yet Republicans still eat it up like it's Rush Limbaugh's feces. |
