HA HA HA HA HA! I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet...

Karma is a bitch... Him and all his oil buddies are running the global warming denial campaign and extreme heat knocks him on his ass... stuff like this reaffirms my non-religious affliiated belief in a higher power.

HOUSTON: Former President George H.W. Bush was treated at a California hospital for dehydration and released Monday morning after collapsing during a Sunday afternoon golf game in Palm Springs.

Jean Becker, Bush's chief of staff, told The Associated Press that Bush fainted while playing golf with friends in 94-degree heat.

"He's fine, he really is fine," Becker said. "He became dehydrated, and he had a fainting spell. He came to right away, but as a precaution, they took him to the hospital and then — much to his dismay — as a precaution, they held him overnight. The doctors released him first thing this morning."

Bush, 82, and former first lady Barbara Bush were in California visiting Lee Annenberg, a family friend.

President George W. Bush was informed of his father's condition on Sunday night, before leaving Bogota, Colombia, for Guatemala City as part of a Latin America trip. He talked to his father by phone from Air Force One.

Becker said the elder Bush was resuming his normal schedule and was slated to give a speech in Los Angeles before returning to Houston on Monday night.

You guys are stupid. That's like me saying JFK got everything he deserved and so did his brother. They should have got the whole family. That was rude.

George Bush Sr was an underrated President whose demise had little to do with his own policies. I would love to have another George Bush Sr to consider voting for. He was an old guard Republican who had almost no historical ties to the religious right, & had loads of international experience.

While I don't agree with him on Global warming I still feel fine about my vote for him in 88. The sad fact is that his namesake fell miles from the fucking tree. Even Bush Sr can't believe it was the dumb Son that got elected.

He was old line in the internationalist, big big business, moderate, Nelson Rockafeller sense.

He made the most famous flip flop in modern political history--- "read my lips, no new taxes"(allowing a democrat to attack us as the party of higher taxes).

He appointed David Souter

He is part of the really old guard, a party almost wholly for big buisness and their own ambition.

As a Goldwater Conservative I think he is everything that needed to be purged by Gingritch et al. Yeah Goldwater lost, but REAGAN won.

That is MY rebublican party. Yeah we have to put up with stupid bible thumpers but think of some of the basket case constitueancies the dems have.

The George Bush senior model republin is thankfully retired.

Yeah I don't hate the guy or want him to die or anything... I just think it's kidn of "ironic" considering him and his "party" are leading the whole "climate change denial" charge.
