I got ahold of some stuff that was alot stronger than I was used to once. Smoked double the ammount I usually do, vegged out on the recliner and watched cartoons. My stomach started doing backflips and I got sick; then went and passed out in my bed.
Death? No. But it would've been a welcome change from the sick and the day's worth of exhaustion I felt afterwards. |

Dying woman loses marijuana appeal

A California woman whose doctor says marijuana is the only medicine keeping her alive is not immune from federal prosecution on drug charges, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.
The case was brought by Angel Raich, an Oakland mother of two who suffers from scoliosis, a brain tumor, chronic nausea and other ailments. On her doctor's advice, she eats or smokes marijuana every couple of hours to ease her pain and bolster a nonexistent appetite as conventional drugs did not work.
The Supreme Court ruled against Raich two years ago, saying that medical marijuana users and their suppliers could be prosecuted for breaching federal drug laws even if they lived in a state such as California where medical pot is legal.
Because of that ruling, the issue before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was narrowed to the so-called right to life theory: that marijuana should be allowed if it is the only viable option to keep a patient alive.
Raich, 41, began sobbing when she was told of the decision and said she would continue using the drug.
"I'm sure not going to let them kill me," she said. "Oh my God." |

Vaporizers are VERY nice... and very clean
But it doesn't matter...
Breathing in noxious fumes at the gas station or in the smog-filled cities will give me cancer too...
NCMike thinks it's all a joke though, he's content with people living in dirty smog-filled areas. As long as big oil still makes their trillions of dollars in profits. |

Even the good one don't do good bud justice when it comes to flavor, but you miss nothing in the high. I don't use mine either. |

I have the volcano and it's amazing...i recommend it and I'm yet to experience the burnt popcorn flavor...i think it has the hint of taste of whatever kind of bud I'm smoking...
It was expensive as hell but well worth it...I only use it occassionally because I prefer smoking the weed...not sure why it's just more satisfying...i like to exhale the smoke and all that... |

Still though... I mean it seems like logically inhaling bud smoke would cause cancer but all the studies done proved no such link.... maybe bud is one of the few substances that can be burned without creating substantial carcinogens... I guess it depends on the quality too... if you're constantly smoking that bricked mexican shit weed that's sprayed with god knows what kidn of chemicals to get it past the dogs at the border... I'm willing to bet you're a lot more likely to get a malignant tumor than if you're smoking freshly picked koosh bud. |

Ok, to dispel SOME of the misconceptions:
Those places that are being raided, are usually staked out, and set up. They send people without cards to try and buy marijuana. Some stores are too stupid to keep it strictly FOR card holders, so they get pinched.
The feds don't recognize the state law... which makes sense if you think about it.
Think of it this way:
The city has it's laws
The state has it's laws
The feds have it's laws
Depending on who you get busted by, will determine the outcome.
For example. With the card I have, I am able to legally GROW plants.
Each city has an 'allowance' of plants you can grow
The state has IT's allowance of plants you can grow
The feds have THEIR allowance of plants you can grow
Cities like Oakland, allow you to grow up to 99 plants
Cities like San Francisco, allow you to grow up to 10 plants
Cities like San Jose, allow you to grow up to 50 plants
(These might have changed, when I looked them up in 2003, this is what they were)
The state of California, allows you to grow 6 plants
The feds, allow you to grow 0 plants
So... if I have 99 plants, and I live in Oakland.... and Oakland PD comes to my house in a raid.
I'm legal, when tried in the city of Oakland under city law
If I have 99 plants, and I live in San Jose.... and the San Jose PD shows up?
I'm busted, I have 49 plants OVER the legal limit according to San Jose city law
If I have 99 plants, and I live in Oakland.... and the state troopers show up?
I'm busted, I have 93 plants OVER the legal limit according to the State law
If I have 99 plants, and I live in Oakland..... .and the FEDS show up?
I'm busted, I have 99 plants OVER the legal limit according to federal law
I hope this clears up SOME of the confusion, it's all about who stops you, and whose checking into it. |

They will hook you up with a packet of information, explaining all the information contained regarding the law passed by the state of California, a card explaining your rights including what to say if you're pulled over and a cop finds your stash, a copy of the law passed in California, the locations of all providers in the area, and an actual paper prescription which you then take to a city hall (such as San Francisco, or Oakland) and have them register you in the city as a medicinal marijuana receiver.
Please NOTE!!!!!
Two EXTREMELY important things to remember.
1) This number works for SURE in the bay area of California, I'm not sure about the locations and places for Los Angeles area or down south or up north passed Humboldt county. It's very well this organization may have expanded to include those areas, or maybe not. Call and find out FIRST before making an appointment
2) If you want to be taken as a serious user of marijuana, by the shops and by the cops, it behooves you to get an ACTUAL card registered from the nearest city that can do so in your area. Please note most cops WILL ASK to see your card, and most shops refuse you to enter with JUST a paper prescription, signed by the doctor or not, they won't let you in without a hard-laminate card
Other than that... enjoy. Let me know how this number works out for you, honestly, it's been over 3 years since I went to my doctor and got mine, and back then it was him and 5 doctors in California doing this.... now it's well over 100, so it's not as personable, for that I apologize.

Why would they? Do you think the FBI has any time or manpower to invest in going through a list of people to indict each and every person with a medical marijuana card for a misdemeanor drug charge?
No... it's far more profitable to set up, and then fine people who run the shops.
It's funny though, there are more compassionate caregivers than they could possibly bust. So they stick to the ones where they get tipped off that they let people without prescriptions in. |

This study cost $6,000,000.00 and was an extremely comprehensive study. If the same study was done today it would cost approximately $125,000,000.00.
In 1979 and 1980, the National Institute of Science did studies on Rastafarians in Costa Rica that proved the same results. There were only 100 copies of this study released to researchers who were working for the government. The only reason we have the results of this study is because someone managed to leak a copy to NORML in 1981.
Between 1968 and 1975, there were about 10,000 marijuana studies done all over the world, but mostly in American universities and colleges. Approximately 4,000 of the studies were universal health studies. Almost all of them proved marijuana to be beneficial in every way. The few that were unfavorable were never proven by a second study.
In 1974 and 1975, Dr. Donald Tashkin did research to prove marijuana was harmful to the lungs. He was the head of pulmonary research on marijuana at UCLA Hospital. He predicted that more people would develop lung cancer from smoking marijuana than from smoking tobacco. Dr. Tashkin was 100 percent positive that all of the studies about marijuana would come out negative in his lung research. He had the only study in the whole country from 1975 to 1999. After 1975 there was no more funding for positive marijuana studies of any type by the U.S. Government for any reason whatsoever. Only a negative study could get funding from the U.S. Government and Dr. Tashkin had almost all of it. I came out against Dr. Tashkin in 1979.
In 1981, I was approached by Dr. Tashkin to take part in his study. I was protesting the marijuana laws on the front lawn of the Federal Building, 500 yards away from the UCLA Hospital and University on Wilshire Boulevard. I signed up (along with about 50 other pot protesters) for Dr. Tashkin’s study because all of the UCLA students refused to participate in his study after Ronald Reagan took office in January 1981. Dr. Tashkin saw us pot protesters every day at the Federal Building for 102 days. We weren’t college students and we smoked pot morning, noon and night.
Once or twice a year I would have interviews with Dr. Tashkin. I told him about the positive effects of marijuana. We disagreed 100 percent and he was sure I was wrong. This was a long term study. I was paid $80.00 to $90.00 for each test from 1981 to the mid 1990s. Once or twice a year I would go smoke marijuana to get the pulmonary lung studies done and I would interview Dr. Tashkin as part of my research for my book, “The Emperor Wears No Clothes". I told Dr. Tashkin from 1981 to 1997 that no one gets lung cancer or any other type of cancer from marijuana because Dr. Vera Ruben and Dr. Todd Mikuriya had already each separately proven it. I had been doing research for my book since the early 1970s.
Now Dr. Tashkin has come out and is saying the same things I said to him 25 years ago. There is no link between marijuana and lung cancer or any other type of cancer. In fact, Dr. Tashkin has found that marijuana, by killing off old cells that could become cancerous, can actually prevent cancer.
If you want to live longer, smoke more pot.

I think that's genetics also. I've got the same deal, I have had nothing but great blood pressure, perfect cholesterol levels, and everything. And I don't eat the healthiest either.
But my family (especially the men in my family) seem to always have no real issues medically until their 70's. |

I remember years ago we could get Colombian for 20 bucks an ounce, the gold was 25-30 an OZ, wild yellow looking shit. That all faded away to the good green sticky sensimilla shit, this shit was 20 a quarter but it sure took a lot less to get a good one gone,( I used to have a bag at all times).Then in my early 20's I just didn't feel good on the shit, so I quit smoking, hell that was 20 years ago. I know from friends of mine that are paying 125 a fucking quarter OZ, the shit going around today is one hit shit, I've been told some of the shit is next thing to tripping.
The nice thing about years ago, Johnny law at one time if he caught you would either take it or make you dump it out and give you an ass chewing. the new zero tolerance shit today, if they find ONE fucking seed in the ashtray, you're getting the bracelets and a tour of police central,
personally I don't miss the shit, even if I did the random piss tests I get would prevent me from smoking, so it's lots of beer for me. |
