Well, Jimmy Golden (Bunkhouse Buck from the WCW) used to be a family friend. He once said that the best wrestlers can make it look like it hurts when it doesn't. A bad wrestler can really make it hurt, but it looks like shit. But when a good wrestler can make it LOOK good, even if it really does hurt, then at the end of the day, it's good shit. Maybe not his words verbatim, but close enough.
I'd say half of the show is a work, half is a shoot, and what makes it so damned good is...it's impossible sometimes to tell the difference. |
