I know Penny got fired. Has she landed on her feet? Where is my Penny?
whylisaG
Its still an outrage what happened to Penny. More outrageous is that Lisa G. is still around. God she sucks! I wish penny was back too. Check out

www.petitiononline.com or www.savepennycrone.com
I found these while looking to see where she ended up. No sightings yet though.

Lisa G. is allegedly just a really skinny guy.
Bojive
LOL @ really skinny guy! I don't hate Lisa G. I just really liked Penny Crone.
64Cracker
Perhaps Peggy ended up with Jeff the Drunk's old `doorstop' job. Then she could beg everyone that goes through the door for Christmas presents.
Bojive
Peggy? Hey Cracker... Who the hell is Peggy?
64Cracker
She's that lady `droppin loads' all over the unemployment line.
AssMcGillicutty
I'd like to run a slow kiss up the crack of Lisa G's ass.
mmikehunt
Screw Penny.....you could see it coming. She did nothing but bitch, and Steve Langford (rectal.....ITCH) is more entertaining.
Thanasi2471
i like penny. i think she is a great newscaster. she is funny at times too. i like the entire new team. L8TRS
richddiver53

Agreed!!
apollolola
Why did she get fired? I know she was a pain in the ass but it was fun to hear her cry. Does anyone know the reason she got fired?
Bojive
I think she got aced out during general cutbacks. She was a fairly big part of the show on a daily basis. I am surprised she got wacked and even more surprised that virtually nothing was said about it on the air.

I loved to hear her whine and cry as well!
amitstern
i thikn she is on an am station in nyc
NotaMILF
Bring her back. She was more interesting than Lisa G.is. I loved her a day in the life of on HTV too. Her crying about Christmas gifts was classic. Where is Penny?????
Murph11
She is in some cop car giving a bj, trying to get a story, lol. Yea I kinda miss her she brought entertaiment to the show with her meltdowns.
amitstern
she should bring her back as an intern or something
kuldesak_kitten
Fire LISA, BRING BACK PENNY!
nedsfartbox
maybe h100 news willdo an update on her at some point.. she was the best when she was pissed...
DividedSky2001
I found it weird how nothing has ever been mentioned about Penny? I mean I listen pretty much daily and I haven't heard anything about her leaving. I just happened to notice I haven't heard her voice in forever. Has Howard ever mentioned it on the air? If so what did he or anyone else say about her leaving or getting fired?

Hope someone can share more on this!! I miss her!! The Ronnie phone call acting as his wife was fuckin hallerious!! And a day in the life of Penny Crone on Howard TV was pretty cool. Ohh yea and the Christmas presents! LOL

We miss ya Penny!!

Peace
MISANTHROPE
arguing in the halls and crying. no wonder they didn't think twice about letting her go when it came to cut backs

I am with you on this. That is why I started the thread. I listen everyday as well. I never heard anything on the air. Someone referred to Penny on the wrap up show in passing. She used to be a fairly big part of the show. Now gone, forgotten and no mention of her. Strange way to end things.

Lisa G is lame. Bring back Penny.
DividedSky2001
I guess we'll never know. If I can ever get threw on the phones I'll definitely ask the show whats up.

Veteran Journalist to Serve as Reporter
For Station's Afternoon and Evening Newscasts

NEW YORK, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Veteran reporter and native New Yorker
Penny Crone will join WCBS-TV New York as reporter, it was announced today by
Joel Cheatwood, Executive Vice President, News, Viacom Television Stations and
News Director, WCBS-TV. The appointment is effective March 1.
The three-time Emmy Award-winner joins CBS 2 from WNYW-TV, where she had
served as reporter since 1988. She is best known for her coverage of the

"Penny is a New York icon. She is an outstanding journalist and has had a
storied career here in New York," said Cheatwood. "Her bold personality and
unique style will be a strong asset for the station. We are thrilled to
welcome Penny to WCBS."
Crone began her journalism career as a federal court reporter for the
Hearst Newspaper in Baltimore, Md. before moving to WJZ-TV as a
writer/producer. Her first on-air reports were for KMOX-TV, then the CBS
owned station in St. Louis.
Crone's additional credits include on-air reporting for WABC-TV New York,
WOR-TV New York and KHOU-TV Houston. She also co-hosted a morning talk show
for WABC Radio (1998) and appeared in the theatrical films "Daylight" and
"Hero at Large."
In addition to her Emmy awards for Outstanding Crime Reporting (1993),
Outstanding Multi-Part News Feature (1995) and On Camera Achievement (1996),
Crone has received professional honors from several uniformed service
organizations, as well as the International Film and Television Festival
(1979, 1980).

i'm glad she's gone. i couldn't stand penny's bitching and complaining.

Penny was awesome and funny! I really miss her on the show. She had a lot of "personality"! We miss you Penny!
kali
I miss Penny as well.
I love her personality!
BrentsBooger
Penny was way better then Lisa G
frawsty
I think something shady happened and it was glossed over. Maybe their was some legal action involved otherwise 100 news would have been all over it. Just cause she was one of their collegues they still would have reported on it.
carrrie9
Thank you Bojive. Sorry she's gone. Geez, I just thought we weren't hearing from her because she was on another floor & simply didn't have the time. I sure wish that was the case. She certainly was an asset to the show, even with her occasional appearances. :gf:
Bojive
It is amazing to me how quietly such a loud personality on the show dissappeared. Never to be mentioned again.
pawtsmokkirr
Never Make Fun of someone loosing their job. People got bills to pay. It's alot of sadness and worry

jsjsjs20022002
I really miss her. I thought she had a really cool relationship with Howard, it really came out on the air.
Tundra05
Thank god she is gone!
jsjsjs20022002
I miss Penny too.
tsakalidis
It's weird that there never was any discussion about her leaving. I have to think there was a legal issue involved. Why haven't we heard any caller ask about this?
TheBat
It does strike me funny that the show tries to be all about being honest & open, but when it comes to staff changes, not a word is spoken. Suddenly the whole newstaff is just two reporters. It took about a year or two before anybody revealed why that rat Chauncy was banished. I wish howard would address why these people are all gone.
Bojive
Who is the rat SCAT Lover? No idea who you are talking about.

Yeah, Lisa G is in LOVE with Howard. Penny was entertaining and provided a no bullshit approach...rather than kiss Howard's ass.
Rspider
she sounded like blue iris with a voice box
Inebri-A-Ted
Lisa G RULES! Much easier on the eyes than Penny.

And Penny caused way too much havok/disruption behind the scenes.
boomstick73
Penny was great but the Penny, Langford combo was priceless. Lisa G blows. They should let Penny puddin wrestle Lisa G for her job.
kordin13
Penny was great because of all the shit she started behind the scenes and when they pranked her about making Langford the Howard 100 News boss was great

backhanded slap to the face!no mention of her most recent job anywhere. WTF is that all about.

I really enjoy the Friday old shows and even this week's sports shows. They bring back the dead and gone from the air. I enjoyed Penny. She was good for the Stern listener. I wish her well. Radio is a cut throat business. I was a part of radio for many years in a many different areas. I miss the fun and action, I don't miss the BS.
hivlozt
Penny was good to the show. She was always making mistakes and she was very emotional which was very funny. Her jealousy of other people on the show was great, specially when she would go off on them.
imobd
I was wondering the same thing. I miss some of the funnier stuff especially the prank with her and langford being made head of news. But there began to get to be too much drama from her where it almost seemed to be interfering with the show.

May I remind you of Scott Eizenger the former E-Show guy. He left the show to do the Amazing Race which Howard said would bomb like nothing else. Nothing was mentioned of him again.
casualpete
Penny with her humor, character and personalty should never have been let go.Huge mistake.
danr
Penny was a fantastic part of the Stern family, and she is still missed by many of us. On a daily basis, she was comedy gold. And far more interesting than was left in her place.
Bojive
I started this thread over 7 months ago looking for answers. I got them. Let this thread die faggots.
