| I have had about enough of the cynical assholes on here who think that everything is a "work". The only question I have for them is, who fucking cares? I listen to the show to be entertained, plain and simple, and if Bubba and the boys come up with something that is essentially a bit, played out as real life, but it makes for great radio, then I say who cares? Who cares if Ned is real or not? Not only has this question been played out a million times, some people treat it like the Kennedy assassination conspiracy. Ned/his character, make great bits and add quite a bit to the show so weather or not he is real is irrelevant and it's pointless to debate it The other capers that the guys come up with are fucking hilarious, from heat with Spice, to getting rear ended so he couldn't close the deal to shocking the puss or calling the puss or shit hits the fan, its all fucking great and makes for great radio. I get so sick of people thinking that anything that is good, or something that has a little heat involved must be a work. If the Hammil/Akira thing is a "work" then I guess I will find out later. Either way, it will still be one of the better bits that they have had on there. So if you want to be cynical and hate on stuff, go over to one of the other show boards, they are really good at that kind of stuff over there. But, if you want to be entertained then stay here, listen, laugh, and find out how everything unfolds with an open mind and realize that the majority don't really fucking care if it is a work or not, either way it is great radio that is here to entertain us and it's the best show on Sirius. Let the flaming on me begin. |

No, you do have a point. I've seen people say they can't listen to Bubba because they feel he is being "fake" and "dishonest." You almost hate to tell them that Howard's show is probably more of a work than they realize. It's really hard to distinguish between work and shoot sometimes and that's what makes the show fun. It does get out of control, however, when people begin to think everything on the show is a work. The Ned thing is a perfect example of something that has been beaten to death. People need to chill and enjoy the show. |

True. If I am watching Survivor do I need someone telling me constantly that the director's script some things and patch some things together? Only an idiot doesn't relaize that is a show, etertainment. Both Bubba and Howard base most of their themes on some reality for the simple reason that it makes for better radio.
When Bubba got the cease and desist letter from CVlear Cahnnel at 10 to 4 before the bomb drop, everyone said it was a work until someone got an actual copy of the lawyer's letter from CC and posted it at SFN. When Coco was fired, was that a work too? Someone better let him in on it because I think he thinks it's real.
Ned is a brilliant way to come at topics from a different angle. Some fans take Howard and Bubba way too literally. |

Thats what bugs me. He acts like we can't see through the ned contract BS when he first came here, or the Aikira spice hammil thing. Why can't he just do good regular REAL radio??

Fuckin' eh. We don't care that Ned is a character, but we do care when they go too far like the contract BS. Imagine this: We all know Kermit the frog is a puppet and isn't real and we don't care. Now imagine if kermit wasn't on sesame street one day and Maria told everyone he wasn't coming back until his contract with the CTW was worked out. Its insulting to our intelligence.

Its seems like Bubba says alot of stuff wrong ,regardless what I think he ment was he doesnt fuck with what the guys do on their bits, wether its Manson or Manson helping Ned on a bit.

I've heard Manson laughing at stuff that Ned is doing on the show, about two weeks ago Bubba called Ned the "lone wolf" and Ned howled and Manson and Brent were laughing at it. I've heard Manson laughing while Ned was talking several times.
Looking at everything for just face value, I can see where people would think that Manson was Ned..it's not hard to think so. I can see the argument... |
