| This is a great trade for the Eagles. We give up just some DT depth which we had plenty of, to get a pro bowl caliber player at a need position for us and filling out the QB depth chart. I guess the Eagles aren't drafting QB this year. Well can't say the offseason was a total bust. I would consider it a success if the Eagles picked up Al Wilson to play ILB for Trotter. But I doubt thats going down. I mean Spikes, Wilson, Gaither and having Gocong to pass rush and just be a specialist. I think I bust a nut if that was the LB core |

yup.
it's a tough set of home games, with Baltimore, Cincy, Denver, NYG and Dallas coming in as well.
oh yeah, and they raised my season ticket price from $470 to $600 to really rub it into me. |

| As an eagles fan I love this move. Dhani Jones is terrible and Spikes would be a great fit in at the stong side. Losing Darwin walker is no big deal either since Bunkley is supposed to step it up this year into the starting role. |

It's about fucking time Reid recognized that you need playmakers at linebacker. It's been one of our Achilles' heels for years. As for Reagor, there's so much depth on their d-line, I don't think it matters much how much he ends up contributing, although I think he'll be fine and be a role player.
As for the Bills, they get a very solid d-tackle. Darwin Walker is one of those guys with retard strength, and he is a real leader. He'll be an excellent veteran presence for them as they rebuild. |

We only gave up a 7th round pick in 08 along with Walker. I mean this deal works out great. We had like 20 DT's on the roster. Do you think we are still in the running for Al Wilson that was rumored? Trots kind of sucking ass in the middle. :shocked: |

| Getting two linebackers in free agency would be very un eagle like but you never know. Trot has deff lost a step and they have to start thinking of a replacement. Gaither would of been that but I love him in the weak side role he's in now. |

I think the vision the Eagles have is Spikes Strong, Gaither ILB, Gocong Weak. But I dont know if its going to work. |

| Lets see if he can be good again, he hasnt done shit in two years, and his contract his up soon. Although they didnt give up much to get him, lets see him stay healthy first |

| It's a good pickup, but Spikes isn't the player he was 2 years ago. I don't know if he can ever become that player again and if he can stay healthy. I still think it gives the Eagles a good pass rusher they haven't had in awhile and they finally realizing you can't have a shitty lb crew. However now the Redskins look like they will get Briggs and Briggs is alot better than Spikes. Hopefully Briggs stays with the Bears and hopefully the Eagles aren't done and look into getting Al Wilson. |

I wouldnt rule out Redskins ruining Briggs like they did with Trot back then. Briggs is a cover 2 kind of LB and Greg Williams system is a complete 180. Anyway on NFL Live Mark Shaclaerth is like busting a nut about Takeo Spikes. I feel confident about the deal. |

| He has been injury prone but the one was the torn achilles and that gets better with time. Hamstring problems could occur whenever but by the end of last year he was doing pretty good. I know he's not the same as 2 years ago but putting him in jim johnsons system could help alot. He has been making players better for a long time. |
