| Does anybody think that maybe with Tim Sabien being in tampa on the weekend, and Bubba said today that he has news for us later in the week has something to do with the BRN maybe getting a new contract? Talk about a run on sentence.................... |

| Too early to lock him to a new contract, IMO. Unless Sirius threw a TON of money at him, to lock him in, I doubt Bubba would sign so early. |

| I can't see why Sirius is dragging their feet to sign Bubba and crew to a long term deal. They have more than proven their loyalty and their team player spirit. After Gary was on the show last Friday, I came away thinking that Gary knew something and the Bulldog's trip was not just for a comedy show and a couple of spring training games. I really hope they give Bubba enough to stay for the long run. Look at the Friday show now. On this board and others I go to the bitching has come down a few notches. |

First of all, Mel and Howard hate O&A, especially Mel. O&A have bashed Mel for years and he is apparently one to hold a grudge. It's always possible CBS will buy out their contract. From what XM has said, they will at least be a part of the XM package for a while. But it will be a cold day in hell before they're on "Hoo Hoo's" channels. Without the ability to bash Howard, they'll have no act and will look like hypocrites in the eyes of their fans.
Bubba bashed Howard. So what? Howard did the same. They were in competition. There was never any legitimate heat between them and Brent was a huge Stern fan. It's ridiculous to compare him to those two. He never made his "feud" with Howard personal and never talked about Alison and Howard's daughters. Are you saying they should rotate the afternoon slot every two years? |

If they do that, they'd also be rotating fans/subscribers every two years. BTLS marks are completely different than O&A fans.
If they'd give Bubba a 3 year or longer contract, I'd get the lifetime subscriber deal. Sirius as a whole is great, but as for now, I go where ever Bubba goes. |

Bubba mentioned in the last state of the bubba that he didn't think sirius will extend his contract until later in the year
Which makes sense from a buisness standpoint
Why commit money to talent before necassary
Especially while your waiting for the outcome of the merger |

| I think it is still about the vacation Bubba do mornings deal. They said if there was any deal it wouldn't be until October, November. |
