The inside iggy is that there's going to be a westcoast replay.

yeah, sure. that's why he called into last nites 7PM show to "save it" and get Jeff the drunk to tell the truth about how he really hates his life.

get real. :rolleye2:

I think most of the people on sfn are 75% retired.

Bubba isn't 75% retired.... in fact, he's 100% NOT retired. Bubba goes to meet and greets, Bubba works Friday mornings, Bubba doesn't take 10 weeks/year. Bubba is a worker. Bubba is the revolution. Bubba makes Stern look like an old man. The BRN IS WHAT SATELLITE IS ABOUT.

Umm... Pen.

She didn't say Bubba was 75% retired.

She said most of SFN is 75% retired... whatever the hell that means.

Yea, I read it.... fuck it anyway. Best radio on radio comes on in 3 hours. The shows before Howard's vacations just piss me off. You can always tell when Howard is trying to get out. The BRN is never trying to "get out". They're about making a quality show.

I'm not saying bubba doesn't work. I admire his ambition. I wish more people were like him.

all i'm saying is there's no need to diss Howard. There's no one who's work ethic I respect more than Howard. I've been listening since he came to NY. He has earned ever dime he's ever made. I see NO reason to disrespect him.

I've been listening to Howard since the 80's... and nobody that's been listening to him that long can NOT say that his heart isn't in it a lot of the time. I think the Sirius shows are better than ANYTHING that he ever did on terrestrial and I love Howard's show... but, his "revolution" is being carried out by Bubba and Scotty. They are making Sirius what it is meant to be. In fact, Sirius Left is more "revolutionary" than anything that Howard is doing these days.

I totally think Bubba is a fucking kick ass worker and the BTLS show is the revolution.

But as for Stern....He was uber unhappy at FM for almost a decade. You really can't blame him and his agent for negotiating a good deal. He probably didn't know that Satellite would be as enjoyable as it is. I mean he really is doing everything he should.

As for going above and beyond like doing meet and greets, yeah it sucks Stern doesn't do it. But it seems those things are uncomfortable to him. He has the rest of the show that will do quite a bit in terms of stand up shows and meeting the fans.

 If anything they try to cram more stuff in before they leave for the weekend or a vacation.

as long as Howard "meets and greets" me on the radio every moring, I'm happy. i don't actually have to get people's handwriting to feel fulfilled.

but then, I've seen plenty of "famous" people and they aren't ALL that in person. Not that i ever expected them to have a glowing light around them. or anything like that.

What Howard did 20 years ago was push the envelope THEN and what he is doing now is pushing the entertainment envelope NOW. One of the main reasons Howard has continued to be a success is because he changes and evolves.

Just don't forget that you wouldn't have bubba if Howard had not welcomed him on. If I recall correctly, bubba was on Howard's first Sirius show jan 9th, 2006. That was no accident. That's Howard Thinking.

Howard is the greatest radio personality that has ever lived. All I'm saying is that Howard's 'revolution' is being carried out by others.
Doobs Lit
I'll be there. Need details... when and where?

I feel like I'm in a Howard/Bubba wasteland down here in H-town. It'll be nice to meet some 100/101 fans.
BryanG
Bubba is the man, Howard will pass the torch to him, Bubba just needs corporate to raise up off his great ideas.
JKGroups
Howard cannot do a "meet & greet" without it being a friggin zoo with police, barracades, etc.
BTLS can do a few hour signing for a hundred or so people at a Hooters ...

THINK BEFORE YOU POST
