I too have been bugging them for a while. I'm praying it doesn't suck. I asked the Cosmic Commander (who does the all-punk show on Left of Center 26, Sundays 10-12EST) if he'd be on the new channel and he wasn't sure?!
If you've ever listened to that show, you KNOW he plays all the killer old school punk records and really digs deep and pulls out some surprises.
If they play shit like Blink 182, Green Day, NOFX, etc. on this punk channel, I'm going to be so pissed off. |

Get ready to be disappointed. I'm positive they'll play that stuff because it has the most commercial appeal, appeasing to most people, but the better throw other stuff in, too. |

I actually considered buying an XM radio just for the punk channel ... then I came to my senses, and luckily in time to hear that Sirius is hosting their own punk channel.

| The Punk Channel is pretty bad ass. I was afraid it was going to be a bunch of new stuff, but they've been playing tons of old stuff (Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Bad Brains, Social Distortion, Dead Boys, etc.). I've had it on a lot the past few days. |

I am loving the old stuff too. That is my new station for the hour commute in the evening. It makes DC traffic so much more tolerable. |
