Does anyone else notice when Bubba uses the K-5 voice for callers you can totally hear the normal voice. The scrambled voice is a 1/2 second off and they don't mute the normal voice sound channel. You can hear the callers voice perfectly. When Bubba played the clip of the girl who ratted on Heather from regular radio it sounds fine.
I don't know if he does it on purpose or not but but Dave, Bubba and any radio guys should be able to hear that. |

| I heard that and part of me thinks they do that as a rib. If the guy is really concerned with his privacy, he shouldnt be talking on a national radio show and he shouldnt give out personal info like his name, age, location, etc. If people he knew were listening, they could probably identify the guy from his speech pattern and all the ummmms. That closet hiding freak! ;) |

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday, too. The "protection" used to be better. Now, it is totally transparent.
I doubt that he's doing it as a rib. Bubba has always been serious about making sure people are anonymous when they ask for protection. He must not realize that it's not working right. |

| I agree with Calta. Seems like the voice "protection" has gotten worse lately! The whole time that dude was talking yesterday, i was thinking "if his family truly listens to the show then there is no way they aren't going to recognize him." |

| Not only did it let his real voice thru, but the followup tweaking made it almost impossible to hear what he was saying. Bubba ended up paraphrasing everything the guy said at one point. Might as well put him on hold and talk to him off-mic and relay the info... |

| he does not use it very often so i think he forgets how to set it just right when someone needs it. |

Knot, it is obvious to me you and several others have over looked the original intent of this thread. Let me spell it out for all of you who didn't get it.

that was the second time i noticed the scrambler was off in the way the OP described. the first time i thought i was just hearing things. the second time i was sure.
now, for you guys saying it's a work...that's a weird work, don't you think? i mean, what's the point of making the voice harder to understand? is it really adding that much to make this guy hard to hear?
i just think it's a weird thing to do and then purposely screw up.
i think it's broken and they should fix it or not really do it at all. just my opinion. |

| It wasn't much of a scrambler, you could easily hear the real voice. For the caller's sake, hopefully they will fix the problem if they want to truly hide someone's identity. |

| It was pretty hard to figure out who it was anyway. I doubt his wife would give a shit if she is the whore he says she is. I doubt his bosses were listening. The worst thing that could happen to this guy for figuring out his identity would be he would get some more ass. |

I was wondering if somebody would notice. You're the first person to put it over. Either nobody else noticed ........or they just didn't care. :)
One of the best protection calls that comes to to mind is "Intruder!" |
