There are a range of organizations that offer "carbon offsets." These donations are used to invest in renewable energy projects, energy efficiency projects and plant trees to offset emissions you've caused. Making up for your emissions probably isn't as expensive as you think -- you can offset the emissions from two flights for under $10.

And wait till 'Carbon Offsets' become mandatory for people..... everyone will be required to turn in odometer milages for their vehicles every year on their taxes... and then you'll have to pay 'X' amount of money for the miles you spent driving and you have to be 'taxed' or 'buy carbon offsets' to offset the carbon monoxide you polluted the air with so that you're a good American Citizen... because this is going to be just another NEW tax for us to pay, eventually.

If you want people to really take you seriously..... don't put a 'monetary' value on something as vague as 'carbon offsets, or credits'
Nothing says "I'm full of shit" like trivializing your own stance by placeing a monetary value on something that can now be corruptable |

How about we just call it like it is?!
It's a new 'pollution' tax based on Carbon Monoxide emissions produced by your car. Complete with a forumlae based on the mileage you drive in a given year.
That's essentially what this will become... oh sure, buy some Carbon Offsets.... or.... pay a higher tax because you chose to drive an SUV over an economic hybrid
It's the same fucking thing... more taxes, more money, more corruption... blah blah blah blah.....
Gore says Global Warming should be about politics, it should be purely about conservation and research and information.... and then he ties Global Warming politically to being able to buy and sell 'carbon offsets'
