If the majority of Bush supporters, the ones who elected him twice already, would like to vote for him again they should be allowed to do so.Shouldn't the American people have the president they want in office? He should be allowed to finish the job.

Finish what job... destroying America?
Anyone that would vote for that dickhead again shouldn't be allowed to vote... |

I agree... that way if he gets elected again I can presume that this country is full of drunken redneck idiots and leave the country to them to run into the ground.
Canada, ho!.... or some island somewhere isolated. |

Sure - repeal it.
Uncurious George would have to run against Bill Clinton.
Wouldn't THAT be fun?
Bush would be whipped like a rented mule. Who wouldn't want to see that? |

You think Hillary would let Bill ruin all her fun!? You've lost your mind if you don't think she wouldn't use the 'HEEL!' command on his ass with a quickness. |

| Do you really think he wants to be president for another 4 years? |
|
|
| artiel |
Nah, he probably doesn't but I'm sure that the powers that be could talk him into being their hand puppet for another 4 years.
If Jesus mandated it then he would have to, right?
I couldn't decide between the two responses. |

The democrats would drop her ass like it was on fire if they thought for one minute that they could get Bill to run.
Also, I don't think listening to her is a huge priority of his. |

No way... that greedy bitch has had a taste of presidential campaigning..... she's like a house dog that finally got to run free in the forest for a few hours... she came back home and is inside the house, but all she thinks about is 'running free' now. |

I think this administration should remain in office indefinitely until we, the voting public, really learn from this period in our history.
It's the equivalent to an addict "hitting bottom" and finally making a committed decision change things for the better.
Merely voting in Dems is in no way a thoughtful nor mature answer to what we have done collectively in colluding with these guys.
None of us were brainwashed.
It's time to give up that pathetic notion, stop pointing fingers and accept responsibility. |

This is absolute crap... I can't believe what I'm hearing!!
Isn't the whole point of having a 2-term only president so we safeguard ourselves from a dictator or someone else spending 20+ years in office slowly changing all the laws as he/she sees fit?!
Fuck... fuck the lesson we learn from Bush.... He's a fucking cocaine abuser, and a drunk driving mess who ran two of Daddy's companies into the ground, and didn't listen to HIS OWN FATHER who said that a ground invasion in Iraq would have dire consequences.
The lesson is.... WAKE THE FUCK UP AMERICA!!! And fucking VOTE!
I don't want Bush or his administration in office 6 years ago, ESPECIALLY not today, and if they got to stay till they fixed everything, they'd never leave office. |

Thanks for agreeing with me.
Things have to get worse in order for your statement to be practically realized.
It's just going to happen again otherwise. |

I got news for you... it's gonna happen in '08...
Democrat controlled Congress....... whose going to win the presidential election in '08?!
Oh yeah... it ain't the Republicans....
Which spells disaster for us, because we're about to put ourselves EXACTLY into the same situation we just came from... a completely controlled White House AND Congress of ONE party.... |

I thought your point was about motivating voters to be informed participants, not which party is in control. |

You can't motivate people off their lazy asses...... they would rather eat Taco Bell, play video games, and vote on American Idol.... most of this country could give two shits about the presidential election.....
But here's the kicker
70% of America hate's Bush's guts.
The War on Terror is becoming more and more of a joke and something to be mourned rather than something to be hailed
These are two MAINSTREAM media points that are in the spotlights.... to the point that most of America feels this way.... and they are angry
And who are they angry at? The november elections should be a clue....
A RESOUNDING take over of the House AND Senate in ONE night (more or less)
All evil doings, all hatred, all frustration, all anger seems to point in ONE direction........The Republican Party.
I'd say they are pretty much ostracize the entire party right now... and for a long time.
This is not a wound that will be forgotten by the next election.... and if the Democrats don't figure something out quick-style.... the American People will be getting tired of them too.
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see a third-party candidate really take charge and garner a lot more serious voters. If anyone of those fucking candidates could get some fucking money, they could make a real run at it and it would probably help America wake up. This country is PRIMED right now for a third-party to take the presidency, if only people could get the two party system out of their heads for good! And a lot of times, it only takes exposure... name recognition.... Like Perot |

i heard a interesting point today about how America has become a nation of addicts in a way....so overly self indulgent and methodical...to the point where people are really out of touch with what is important...
maybe we are just too spoiled |

I originally started this thread just to stir the pot and then sit back and watch everyone argue . But you bring up a good point, politicians have to have other politicians looking over their shoulder if there's any hope of keeping them honest, :puke:,(I just coughed all over my keyboard typing the words politician and honest in the same sentence!).
With both parties involved, things have an opportunity to improve,or @ the very least not get any worse. One party running everything results in a bunch of yes men. |

Some of the most 'successful' presidencies have been ones that were relatively quiet.... "Lame Duck" Presidencies. Bills don't get passed a lot, wars aren't fought.... all the politicians sort of keep the others in check... etc.
Think back to the presidents you've been alive for..... there are two types..... Ones who fucked shit up and everyone hated, and the ones people don't talk too much about because..... NOTHING HAPPENED during their presidency.
Am I right? |

Am I right? | that's because the best thing a politian can do is stay off people's dicks.
the people that REALLY run the country are the middle class who work everyday to make this country what it is.
as long as THEY are not interfered with, things move along very nicely.
no one needs any politians to stick their "oar" into the works. so, of course, the most successful ones are the ones that cause the least trouble.
it's nice when some can encourage certain conditions that regular people can grab and make cool shit with.
case in point is the internet and GPS technology.
make that technology available to the regular people and SEE what we have done with it????
aside from shit posts, I mean :giggle: |
