any of u mother fuckers go to these games? I like going to the Las Vegas 51 games... every Thursday home game is dollar beer night and its good to fuck with the other team... plus the 51s have some good dodger prospects every year...
i dunno about other triple A games, but the women at 51s games are phenomenal |

I have season tickets to the Portland Beavers. It's nice cause I work graveyard and work is right next to the stadium. Live baseball at any minor/major league level is tough to beat. Dollar beer thursday up here too. Some jackass politicians passed a law and they can't promote "Thirsty Thursday".
As for the women here, it's cold all the time, but those sunny days they don't wear much, and probably not LV quality but most of them know what they are doing. |

i live on cape cod and we have the cape cod baseball league which, for some that may not know, is a very popular league for some of the best college players to come and play in with wooden bats. we get lots of scouts at the games...the cool part is that the fields are all within an hour of each other and the stadiums are just the local high school fields
berkman, teixeira, nomar, utley, helton, varitek just off the top of my head all played here |

| I used to go when I lived in Fresno. I like it. Tickets are cheap and if you find the right night the grub can be reasonably priced. |

Cool stadium and an overall good time. They were playing LV and the only guy I recognized was Jeremy Giambi.
Minor league games are a blast. My parents live in Greenville, SC and they have a single-A Red Sox team there. Brand new stadium complete with mini-monster in left. Good times. |

that sounds like it would be fun...who doesn't love an old bag getting pegged |

| The best team I ever saw in Portland consisted of Jason Bay, Xavier Nady, Khalil Greene, and Jack Cust. Not sure if they were ever left in the same lineup in AAA but those guys were fun to watch. Biggest regret is the Pad's trading my old roommate Bay. |
|
|
| timdawg6 |
| You were roomates with Bay? |

| yep him and greene for about 3 months. We had a great house on 23rd and Flanders. They paid the bills and were out of town the whole time lol |

Are you still friendly with those guys?
You should be there assistants |
|
|

| Jason left me tickets for their series in Seattle, which is this year only. Greeney usually leaves me tickets at every homestand in August. It's the only time I get down there. We have yet to get together since they moved on, but we all talk and anticipate a great weekend in Diego when the Pirates visit. Pirates visiting the Pads in August will be a party some year lol. |

Only a BA is required by the MLBPA, but it's tough to inch your way in w/o a law degree |

I have the MILB.TV package where I watch AAA games on the computer.
Many AAA hitters are real good, as good as some MLB hitters from the 80's.
Minor league baseball is good cheap fun. |

the Arkansas Travelers, the Cards AA team was the only thing in town when i was stuck in Little Rock for a file for a few months.
Ricky Ankiel was making his way through town that season, around 1999. |

| Hell ya Memphis RedBirds... You can almost bet you there will be players you will see who will end on the Cards before the year is over or people on re-hab assignments... I really enjoy the games and they players are alot better than when Memphis has the chicks a AA farm team of the Royals |

I used to practically live at the minor league park in Tucson (PCL) when I was little, working as a foul ball shagger at times, member of some of the youth clubs that were given season passes- met many of the upcoming stars of the '70s along with many obscure players who were some of the nicest people you met before big money really alienated the players from the fans in the '80s thru today. But I've seen and enjoyed minor league ball every so often, been to games in Vancouver, Denver (before the Rockies!), Albany, Arkansas, Rancho Cucamonga and here in Vegas over the past 20 years. I might meet up with ya at Cashman one of these nites if the chicks and beer are as good as you say, Spark! |

Wow those are words you don’t hear often…way to make lemonade out lemons.
Almost any day between April - playoffs I can hit a major league game, either the Giants or the A's if SF is on the road. It is a great way to kill time with visiting relatives.
San Jose Giants are cheap (free because most people at the game have extra tickets from thier office). They also have a designated “beer batter” on the other team. If he strikes out, beers are all half price. It is fun watching fat dudes run to the beer lines to save a buck. And the BBQ does kick ass.
Steve Howe picthed there and Royce Clayton also. |

Fuck you. Fresno is a great sports city, probably the best for minor league baseball. The college football aint bad either (last season aside- everyone has their slumps). |
